What is Hyper-V?

Hyper-V is a Server Virtualization product, which provides virtualization services through hypervisor-based emulations. The Hyper-V Server role in Windows Server lets you create a Virtualized Server computing environment where you can create and manage virtual machines. You can run multiple operating systems on one physical computer and isolate the operating systems from each other. With this technology, you can improve the efficiency of your computing resources and free up your hardware resources. Administrators can create many child partitions depending on available system resources. Each child partition can then run its own independent, isolated operating system, often referred to as a Guest OS.

Advantages

Hyper-V increases efficiency in development and test activities. You can use virtual machines to reproduce different computing environments without the need for acquiring or maintaining all the hardware you would otherwise need.

Monitoring Hyper-V Parameter

You can configure to monitor the Hyper-V parameter on the SERVICE ENTITLEMENT page (Operations > Configuration > General > Service Entitlement) and then enable the respective job on the CUSTOM SCHEDULER page (seeĀ SummitAI Platform). Under the HYPER-V tab on the Server Device Details pop-up page, you can view the Host and Guest Server details of the device.
