Automated Incident Remediation enables the Self Healing of incidents on Datacenter systems such as Servers, Storage devices, Network devices or any IP based systems with an alert. This helps in automate the Incident process in a closed loop.

Scenario

Auto Fixing of Server or Network device Issues.

For Example:

While monitoring the servers or network devices, alerts are created when there is any utilization or performance issue due to high threshold value. Based on the alert configuration, Incidents are raised. These Incidents are auto resolved or updated without the human intervention using SummitAI Orchestration.

Objective

To automate the fixing of Server or Network device issues using Scripts and workflows.

How the SummitAI Orchestration Works in Auto Fixing the Issues?

The following process explains how the SummitAI Orchestration automates the auto remediation of issues:

  1. Alerts are created whenever there is a performance or utilization issue. These alerts are processed to raise incidents as per the configured rules.
  2. The created Incidents are sent in a queue to the Event Linking System.
  3. Event Linking System collects the Incidents and searches for the matching Orchestration Scripts and a Workflow.
  4. Orchestration API pulls the data from the Event Linking System and pushes the data to the Orchestration Proxy where the Auto-Healing scripts are executed.
  5. Based on the configured scripts and Orchestration workflow, the Orchestration Proxy does the auto fixing of the Incident and auto resolves the ticket whenever the performance issue becomes normal.

Scenario

Clearing the temporary files of an asset upon reaching the maximum specified size.

For Example:

When an asset has reached the maximum allowed size for temporary files, the SummitAI Orchestration runs the scripts and workflow to clear the temporary files to free-up the space.

Objective

To clear the temporary files of an asset by using Scripts and workflows.

How the SummitAI Orchestration Works in Auto Fixing the Issues?

The following process explains how the SummitAI Orchestration automates the auto remediation of issues:

  1. An Incident is raised in the SummitAI Application when an asset has the temporary folder with the maximum allowable size.
  5. Based on the configured scripts and Orchestration workflow, the Orchestration Proxy does the auto fixing of the Incidents, clears all the temporary files, and auto resolves the Incident.
