The Variance Report displays the various type of Variance Reports available in the Asset Management module, such as Asset IP Variance by Floor, Asset RFID Tracker Variance, Allocated Assets for Inactive Users, and so on. Admin or Analyst can access the report based on access privileges assigned through roles.

Variance is a measure to estimate the deviation of the Asset details from its specified baseline details. This report provides a holistic view of Variance reports of Asset Management module for the selected Tenant. It includes the report segments namely, In-Store Assets to which Agents contacted today, Asset IP Variance by Floor, Asset RFID Tracker Variance, Allocated Assets for Inactive Users, and Allocated User Variance by Last Logon. 

The report is displayed in Tabular view including all necessary information columns.

Steps to access Variance Report

1. Navigate to Reports Asset Management > Variance Report.

2. Click Filters on the Action panel to specify the filter criteria for generating the report. The criteria FILTERS pop-up appears.

3. Enter or select the values for Filter fields as described in the following table. 

Field 

Description 

Tenant*

Tenant is similar to department in an organization, example : Operations, IT. Select the Tenant name from the list. This is a mandatory field. For more information, see Configuring Tenants

Report Name*

Select the name of the report to be displayed. This is a mandatory field. 

4. Click SUBMIT

The Variance Report of Allocated Assets for Inactive Users is displayed.

In this report, you can view the list of assets that are allocated to the Users in inactive state. You can view the details such as Asset ID, Serial number, Asset Code, Category of the asset, Status and Sub-status, User ID and so on. 

5. Click Asset ID hyperlink in the ALLOCATED ASSETS FOR INACTIVE USERS report to access the Asset Details. This gives a detailed view of Asset Information, Device Manager, Additional Discovery, Asset History, Endpoint, Password Audit Details, Patch Details, and Relationship.

Few of the fields that are present in the report are explained in the following table. 

Field

Description

Asset CodeUnique Asset code for that Asset.

Asset ID

Displays the Asset ID of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials.

Serial Number

Displays the Serial Number of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials.

Host Name

Displays the Host Name of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials.

Asset RegisterDisplays the basic information of the Asset, such as, Tenant, Category, Asset Code, Allocation status of the Asset, Asset condition, date when the Asset was added, the name of the user who added the Asset, Serial Number of the Asset, Model Number of the Asset, Vendor Name, Manufacturer name, Warranty details, CPU details, and so on.
Software Discovery Displays the list of software installed on the Asset.
Hardware Discovery Displays the details about the hardware discovered on the Asset.
Device Manager Displays the Device Manager details of the Asset.


Note

The Serial No. hyperlink also displays the same Asset details page as Asset ID hyperlink 


Click the Refresh Report to fetch latest details for the report. Any changes performed after the Reports page was loaded, will reflect if you click on Refresh Report 


ACTIONS 

You can perform following actions from the ACTIONS panel of the VARIANCE REPORT page.

Icon

Action

Prints the displayed report records.

Exports the displayed records on the page to a Microsoft Excel sheet.

Exports the complete list of report records to a Microsoft Excel sheet.
