You can use the Autofill controls in Service Catalogs to view the tables created in Web Services and can configure the Custom table dynamic column as a data source. Also, you can define Parent and Child relationship between the Autofill Controls. For information about Autofill control properties, see Creating Service Catalogs.

The newly added Autofill controls are displayed on the Service Catalog page and the Service Request page (requesting Service from the Service Catalog).

Example:  Consider that you are going to create a service catalog (Ex: General Request) with three Autofill controls (Label Name as: Country, State, and City) and use Custom Table Custom Data as data source for those Autofill Control.

To create Service Catalogs with Autofill Controls:

  1. Select Catalog > User > Create Service Catalog.

  2. On the FORM BUILDER page, under the FORM DETAILS tab, Service Catalog Management is selected from the Module list and Catalog Item is selected from Purpose list.

  3. Select the required Tenant, Category, and Owner Workgroup from drop-down list.
  4. Specify the Catalog Name (Ex: General Request)
  5. Type in the other mandatory details. For information about the fields on the FORM DETAILS tab, see Field Description.

    Fill in the other required details as described in the following table:

    Select the Module name from the drop-down list.

    Purpose

    Select the Purpose from the drop-down list.

    Tenant

    Select the Tenant name from the drop-down list.

    Category

    Select a Category from the list.

    Owner Workgroup

    Select the owner of the Workgroup from the drop-down list.

    Catalog Name

    Type in the name for the Service Catalog item.

    Tile ColorSelect a color for the Tile.

    Catalog Type

    Select the Service Catalog type from the list.

    Description

    Type in the description of the Service Catalog item.

    Keywords

    Specify the keywords or set of keywords for the Service Catalog. Using the specified keywords, the respective Service Catalogs can be searched while raising an SR on the NEW SERVICE REQUEST page.

    Global Catalog Item

    If this check box is selected, the Service Catalog item is available to all the Tenants.
    Note: Global Catalog Items can be created under a Global Category.

    Enable Bulk SR Creation

    If this check box is selected, SR creation using Excel upload becomes enabled on the NEW SERVICE REQUEST page.

    Link to Other CategoryIf this check box is selected, User can select an additional categories under which the catalog item needs to be displayed.
  6. Click NEXT. The FROM BUILDER tab displayed.
  7. On the FORM BUILDER tab drag and drop three Autofill controls under Default Group.

  8. The Autofill control properties are displayed under the PROPERTIES section on the right-hand side panel.
  9. Type in the Label for the controls as Country, State, and City.

  10. Select the data source as Custom Table for all three controls from Options drop-down list.

  11. Select the data source table (Ex: Location_Table) from Type drop-down list and data source for each control from Dynamic Column drop-down list for all three controls (Ex: For Country as Country, State as State, and City as City).

  12. Configure Country as Parent for State control and configure State as Parent for City control.

  13. The Autofill control properties are displayed under the PROPERTIES section on the right-hand side panel. For information about the fields on the FORM BUILDER tab, see Field Description of Creating Service Catalogs.

    Fill in the required property details as described in the following table:

    Autofill

    Click Autofill control to configure a Type In search. Type in the required values for the following properties:

    • Label: Type in the label name for the Autofill field.
    • Required: Select the Required check box to configure the field as mandatory.
    • Size: Select the size of the drop-down list: SmallMedium, orLarge.
    • Parent: Select the Parent for this drop-down list (It is applicable only when Autofill control is configured with the parent-child relationship). 
    • Options: Select appropriate options for the drop-down list. Following are the available options:
      • Common Master: If selected, the Type drop-down list is displayed. Select the sub-category in the Type drop-down list. The autofill field on the NEW SERVICE REQUEST page is populated with all the configured options for the sub-category.
      • Custom Table: If selected, the Type drop-down list is displayed. Select the required custom table from the Type drop-down list. If selected, the Dynamic Column drop-down list is displayed. Select the required column from Dynamic Column drop-down list.

        The Custom Table, which is created from the Dynamic Web Services (See: Configuring Web Services topic in SummitAI Platform) will be populated in the Type drop-down list.

      • Customer Master: If selected, the Type drop-down list is displayed. Select the subcategory in the Type drop-down list. The autofill field on the NEW SERVICE REQUEST page is populated with all the configured options for the sub-category.
      • Manual: If selected, a new text box is displayed, where you can type in the options manually. These options are displayed in the autofill field on the NEW SERVICE REQUEST page.
      • User Master: If selected, the Type drop-down list is displayed. Select the subcategory in the Type drop-down list. The autofill field on the NEW SERVICE REQUEST page is populated with all the configured options for the subcategory.

    Group Templates

    All the groups saved as group templates are displayed here. You can drag a group template and drop it to the center of the page. All the attributes created under the group are added. This is useful while creating similar set of attributes for a Service Catalog.

    Form Templates

    All the forms saved as form templates are displayed here. You can drag a form template and drop it to the center of the page. All the attributes created under the form are added. This is useful when you want to add attributes under multiple groups to a Service Catalog.

    Auto Populate functionality is not available for the following controls: File, Label, Formula, Radio Button, and MV Drop down.

  14. Click the Delete icon to remove the attribute. You can also change the sequence of the fields by dragging them around.
  15. Click NEXT. Under the PREVIEW tab you can view the Service Catalog attributes that you added. Click NEXT.

  16. Under the ADDITIONAL INFO tab, you can configure the other additional information, such as levels of approvals, Service Catalog images, dependency diagrams, business agreement SLA and OLA information, and so on. For information about the fields on the ADDITIONAL INFO tab, see Field Description of Creating Service Catalogs.

  17. Click SAVE. A pop-up message is displayed. Click OK to create a WORKFLOW for the Service Catalog.

    Note: The Service Catalog needs to be approved and published by the Approvers for it to be available to the users.




WORKFLOW

Click OK to navigate to the WORKFLOW page, where you can create the Approval Workflow for the catalog (see: Configure Dynamic Approvers in Service Catalog Workflow on Configuring SR Approval Workflow).
