You can map the CMDB fields to the fields on the DISCOVERY page so that the hardware and the software data is auto-updated correctly. 

To configure CMDB and Discovery Mapping:

  1. Click CMDB > Configuration > CMDB Discovery Mapping. The CMDB DISCOVERY MAPPING page is displayed.

2. Enter the required details and click SUBMIT to configure the mapping. For more information about the field on the CMDB DISCOVERY MAPPING page, see Field Description.

Field Description

The following table explains the fields on the CMDB DISCOVERY MAPPING page.

Field

Description

Tenant

Select the required Tenant in the Tenant drop-down list.

Classification

Click Image Removed Image Added and select the classification of the CI.

System Type

Select the required system type in the drop-down list.

Tab Name

Displays the tab name of the CI ID page where the mapped field is displayed.

Display name

Displays the name of the field to be mapped to DISCOVERY page.

Source

Select the appropriate field name (displayed on DISCOVERY page) to be mapped to CMDB.

Source Unit

Select the unit displayed for the field in Discovery.

Target Unit

Select the unit displayed for the field in CMDB.
