The Software Files Report displays a list of Software Files available in the Asset Inventory. You can also view the Original Name, Version, Product Name, File Size and the Publisher Name of Software File. You can further drill-down the report to view the Assets where the Software Files are installed.
Admin or Analyst can access the report based on access privileges assigned through roles.

Software files can be of many types like .exe, .cpl , .msi and many more. With the help of Software File report Analysts or Admins retrieve a detailed report on Software File name and Software version. If any software needs an upgrade and information is needed on the existing software file size and version, this Software Files report is helpful. |

Steps to Access access Software Files Report
1.Navigate to Reports > Asset Management > Asset CMDB Sync > Software Files Report.
2.Click Filters on the Action panel to specify the filter criteria for generating the report. The criteria FILTERS pop-up appears.

3. Enter or select the values for Filter fields as described in the following table.
| Field | Description |

| Tenant | Tenant is similar to department in an organization, example : Operations, IT. Select the Tenant name from the list. This is a mandatory field. For more information, see Configuring Tenants |
| Search By | Software search is possible by choosing any one of the following - Product Name or File Name. |
| Product Name | Specify the Product Name to search for. Example : Adobe Reader. |
| File Name | Specify the File Name to search for. Example : Adobe AIR Installer.exe |
| Publisher | The name of the software publisher, responsible for its development and distribution. Example: Microsoft, Cisco. |
| File Size | There are four options to select from File Size. Select from the drop-down. |
4. Click SUBMIT.
The Software Files Report is displayed.

5. Click hyperlink in column Count to view a detailed report.

Few of the fields that are present in the report are explained in the following table.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| File Name | The name of the file in use. |
| File Version | The current software file version being used. |
| File Size | The size of the file is mentioned in KB(Kilo Bytes) |
| Publisher | The name of the Software file Publisher. Example: Adobe Systems. |
| Asset ID | Unique Asset number. |
| Allocation Status | Is the Software File allocated or unallocated can be known by this field. |
Click the Refresh Report 
to fetch latest details for the report. Any changes performed after the Reports page was loaded, will reflect if you click on Refresh Report
ACTIONS
You can perform the following actions from the ACTIONS panel of the Assets by Floor report Software Files Report page.
