You can map the configured Help with Configuration Items (CIs). You can map a specific CI with Help and based on the mapping the user can view help text while logging an Incident for the selected CI.

To configure Event CI relations:

  1. Select Operations > Configuration > Events > Event CI Relation.
  2. On the EVENT CI RELATION page, click the Filters icon and select the Tenant.
  3. Click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
  4. Specify the required details. For more information about the fields on the EVENT CI RELATION page, see Field Description.
  5. Click SUBMIT. The new Event CI Relation details are saved.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the EVENT CI RELATION page:

Fields

Information

Entity Type

Lists the configured Servers, Network Devices, Network Links, Printers, and URLs. Select an item from the list for which you want to configure an Event CI relation details.

Relationship

Map the Event Category with Configuration Items.

Help

Lists the configured help for a Tenant. Select the help that should be displayed for the selected CI.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the EVENT CI RELATION  page. 

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Event CI Relations for the selected Tenant.

  • To modify an Event CI Relation, click the configured Entity Type. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.

When the Event CI Relations are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Event CI Relation.
