The Export Configurations by File feature enables the administrators to export the configurations from one server and import them to another. This avoids the need to add the same configuration in multiple servers, thus saving a lot of time and effort. For example, the administrators can export the configuration from a Staging server and import them to a Production environment.
You can export the configurations of the following modules:
Incident Management
Service Request Management
Change Management
Problem Management
Knowledge Management
To Export the Configurations by File:
Select Admin > Basic > Infrastructure > Export/Import > ExportConfigurations by File. The EXPORT CONFIGURATIONS BY FILE page is displayed.
Select the Module and Tenant details from the drop-down list. Click SEARCH.

The Master Types and their corresponding categories are displayed. All the Master Types are selected by default. Clear any fields that are not required and click EXPORT.
Specify the Uniform Naming Convention (UNC) path (For example, \\D:\sharedfolder) in the File path text box. The File Name is saved as Module Name_Tenant_Date & Time. You can edit it if required.
Select the format of the file to be exported. You can select the File Type as XML or JSON from the drop-down list. Click SUBMIT.
