You can create a Profile for an application. You can select applications, such as software files, executable files and folders to configure them as Allow, Warning and Blocked Software. The Software configured as Allow (White List) can be installed by the users mapped to the Profile (see: Mapping Profiles) without any warning message. The Software configured as Warning can be installed by the users mapped to the Profile (see: Mapping Profiles) with a warning message. The Software configured as Blocked (Blacklist) cannot be installed by the users mapped to the Profile (see: Mapping Profiles), the Software installation is blocked. You can configure Profiles as Default Profiles and Master Profiles. The configured Default Profile is applied to unmapped Assets and Master Profile allows to configure only the White Listed Software.
To create/update a Profile:
- Select Asset > Configuration > Application Control > Create/Update Profile.
- On the CREATE/UPDATE PROFILE page, on the FILTERS pop-up page, select the Tenant and other required details and click SUBMIT.
- A list of Profiles is displayed based on filter criteria. Click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel to create a new Profile.
- Fill in the required details. For more information about fields and icons on the CREATE/UPDATE PROFILE page, see Field Description.
- Click NEXT.

- Click SUBMIT. A new Profile is created.

Master Profile | Select this check box to set the Profile as master Profile for Assets with unmapped profiles. Master Profile can be configured with applications of allow type only. |
Active | Indicates the status set for a Profile.

You can view a list of configured software under the Software Info tab. You can set the software restriction status for the software. Click the Filters icon on the ACTIONS panel. Select the allow type of the software to be displayed from the Search By list. You can also type in the name of the software in the text box or use the wildcard search %. Select Software View as Summary or Detail. Click SUBMIT to view the list of software based on the filter criteria. Select the Status check box for the software and click the WHITE LIST (ALLOW), BLACK LIST (BLOCK), or WARNING icon on the ACTIONS panel to set the restriction status for the software. ACTIONS
SHOW LIST
Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Profiles.

- To edit a Profile, click the configured Profile Name. Make the required changes and click SUBMIT.
To display the inactive Profiles, click the Include Inactive check box.
Note title Note: When the configured Profiles are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW and DELETE actions are displayed on the ACTIONS panel.
- Click ADD NEW to add a new Profile.
- Click DELETE to delete the configured Profile. Select the check box for the Profile you want to delete and click the DELETE icon.
Filters
Click Filters to view list of software on the LIST table as per the selected filter criteria. Fill in the required details and click SUBMIT.

DELETE
Click DELETE to delete the selected Profile, Software, Executable, or Folder Path.
NONE
Click NONE to change the status of the selected Software as None.
WHITE LIST (ALLOW)
Click WHITE LIST (ALLOW) to change the status of the selected Software as Allow.
BLACK LIST (BLOCK)
Click BLACK LIST (BLOCK) to change the status of the selected Software as Block.
WARNING
Click WARNING to change the status of the selected Software as Warning.
