You can configure the SMS Gateway settings to send an SMS to the user (Subscriber). The Service Provider provides key names and key values/phrases for each End User who has subscribed to receive an SMS about their Incident updates.

To configure SMS Gateway:

  1. Select Admin > Advanced > Notifications > SMS Gateway Configuration.
  2. On the SMS GATEWAY CONFIGURATION page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
  3. Type in the new SMS Gateway configuration details. For more information about the fields on the SMS GATEWAY CONFIGURATION page, see Field Description.
  4. Click SUBMIT. A new SMS Gateway is configured.

The following table describes the fields on the SMS GATEWAY CONFIGURATION page:

Gateway Name

Specify the name for the SMS Gateway.

Gateway URL

Specify the SMS Gateway URL using which an SMS is sent to the Subscriber.

QUERY STRING KEY PAIR

Key Name

Type in the key name settings for the user provided by the Service Provider.

  • User Name: Type in the key name for the user name. Example: uname.
  • Password: Type in the key name for the password. Example: pass
  • Message: Type in the key name for the message. Example: msg
  • Destination Numbers: Type in the key name for the destination number. Example: dest.
  • Additionals: Type in the key name for the additional. Example: send

Values/Phrases

Type in the key values or phrases for the user provided by the Service Provider.

  • User Name: Type in the key value for the user name. Example:prathap.v@xyz.com.
  • Password: Type in the key value for the password. Example: prathv.
  • Message: Displays the key value for the message. This is a read-only field.
  • Destination Numbers: Displays the key value for the destination number. This is a read only field.
  • Additional: Displays the key value for the additional.

Sort Order

Specify the sequence number to indicate the position of a query string key pair in the URL.

Confirmed URL Preview

Displays the URL that is defined based on the query string key pair that is specified for the user.

Active

Click to activate the SMS Gateway URL.

Default

Click to make it the default SMS Gateway.

Country code

Specify the country code. If the country code is specified, the code is appended to the mobile number before sending the SMS.

SMS Delivery by Location

Select locations to restrict SMS Gateways.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the SMS GATEWAY CONFIGURATION page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the SMS Gateway configured in the SummitAI application.

  • To edit a SMS Gateway, click Gateway Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
  • To display the inactive SMS Gateway configurations, click the Include Inactive check box.

When the SMS Gateway configurations are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new SMS Gateway.

SEND SMS

Click SEND SMS option from the ACTIONS panel, a YOU'RE ALMOST THERE! QUICKLY VALIDATE THE CONFIGURATIONS BY SENDING A TEST MESSAGE FROM THIS SCREEN pop-up is displayed with the mandatory fields such as Mobile No and Message.

This option helps to validate the correctness of the configured SMS gateway by sending a Test SMS.

The sent message details are displayed in the grid view.
