Status Configuration for Fixed and Non-Fixed Assets

The asset status and sub-status information is used to track the asset accurately at a detailed level. An Administrator can rename Asset status and also create sub statuses (max. up to 3) under a particular asset status. The Administrator can add, rename, deactivate and configure the sub-status for the selected Tenant. Upon configuration, the renamed status and new sub statuses will supersede all the previous status/sub status name on all the applicable pages of Fixed and Non-fixed assets.

To create Sub status, perform the following steps:

  1. Select Asset > Configuration > Asset Masters > Status Configuration.
  2. On the STATUS CONFIGURATION page, select the Tenant. A list of all the configured status for the selected Tenant is displayed under the DETAILS section.

4. Click Configure. A pop-up is displayed with the list of asset types in the organization.

Note
  • The greyed out check box indicates that the corresponding asset type is already mapped to the Status and/or Sub status and are not configurable by the Admin.
  • It is worth noting that, there are instances in which certain statuses are not applicable for some asset types.

Consider this example: The status ‘IN-REPAIR’ is not applicable for non-fixed assets such as Consumables. In this case, the corresponding asset type will be unchecked and greyed out by default. In short, the unchecked greyed out asset types indicate that corresponding asset types are not applicable to the selected status. Refer the figure below.

Note
  • By default, the disabled asset types are not available for any asset transaction. Also, the sub statuses follow the configuration policies of their parent statuses.
