What is a Kiosk?

A Kiosk is a location where an Analyst or a group of Analysts are assigned with the task of providing quick resolutions or even workaround solutions to the issues faced by the employees of an organization. A Kiosk is Location and Workgroup-specific.

You can configure the Kiosk for booking Appointments.

To configure Kiosk:

  1. Select IT Clinic > Configuration > Kiosk.
  2. On the KIOSK page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel. The KIOSK page is displayed.

  3. Select the Tenant, fill in the required information about the Kiosk, and click SUBMIT. For more information about the fields on the KIOSK page, see Field Description.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the KIOSK page.

Field

Description

Kiosk Name

Type in the name of the Kiosk.

Workgroup  

Select the Workgroup in the drop-down list. The Kiosk will be available only for the selected Workgroup.

Location  

Select the Location in the drop-down list. The Kiosk will be available only for the selected Locations.

Time Zone

Select a time zone in the drop-down list. The selected time zone will be applicable for this Kiosk.

Bookings Per Time Slot  

Specify the number of bookings allowed in a time slot for the Kiosk. The End Users will not be able to book Appointments in this time slot if the number of Appointments specified in this field is already booked. 

Example: If the Bookings Per Time Slot is set to 4; for a time slot 11:30 am to 11:45 am, the End Users can book four Appointments. After the fourth Appointment is booked, the End Users will not be able to book any more Appointments for this time slot.

Slot Duration

Select the slot duration in the drop-down list.

Allow Future Bookings For

Select the number of days for which future booking is allowed. The End Users can book an Appointment up to the selected number of days from the day of booking.

WORKING HOURS

Start Time (HH:MM)

Set the start time for the Kiosk. The slot booking for Kiosk will be opened to the End Users based on the Start Time you set.

End Time (HH:MM)

Set the end time for the Kiosk. The slot booking for Kiosk will be closed to the End Users based on the End Time you set.

Break Start Time (HH:MM)

Set the break start time for the Kiosk. The slot booking for Kiosk will be stopped to the End Users based on the Break Start Time you set.

Break End Time (HH:MM)

Set the break end time for the Kiosk. The slot booking for Kiosk will be resumed to the End Users based on the Break End Time you set.

Total Hours

The field displays the total working hours for the Kiosk.

Working Days

Select the days of the week. The Kiosk will be open only for the selected days.

TYPE OF NOTIFICATION

This section displays the list of type of notifications available for the Kiosk.

E-mail

Select this check box to enable e-mail notifications for the Kiosk.

END USER PAGE

Enable

Select the check box corresponding to the label to enable/disable the field on the USER APPOINTMENT page.

Field

Displays the field names.

Label

Type in the label name for the corresponding field.

Restrict Location Access

If selected, the Kiosk is available only to the users at this Kiosk location.

Close Kiosk for End User

If selected, the End Users cannot book Appointments using this Kiosk.

Active

If selected, the Kiosk is activated.
