You can view and monitor the details of each Server. You can also configure the Threshold values for CPU, Memory, and Hard Disk. You can monitor the Hardware Health, Port, Services, Event Logs, SNMP traps, and so on. Based on the configured Monitoring Parameters for a Server, the parameters, such as CPU, Memory, Hard Disk, Port, and so on are monitored and displayed under the respective tabs on the SERVER DETAILS pop-up page.

To view Server details:

  1. Select Operations > User > Views > Server View.
  2. On the SERVER VIEW page, FILTERS pop-up page is displayed. Select the Tenant and other required filter options to view the Servers. Click SUBMIT. For more information about fields on the FILTERS pop-up page, see Filters.
    • You can search for a specific Server using the Search text box.
    • You can view the Servers list in Tile view and Tabular view.

  3. In the Tile view, click the Server tile for which you want to view the details. In the Tabular view, click the Host Name to view the details. Based on the Server selected, the Server details are displayed under the following tabs:

    titleDETAILS

    Under the DETAILS tab, you can view the monitoring status of the Server and other basic details of the Server, such as Server Type, OS type, Tenant, vendor, customer, Mail To, Mail CC, description, and so on. You can also view the Current Availability & Latency, Event Trends.

    The following table describes the fields under the DETAILS tab:

    Field

    Description

    Device Icon

    Status of the device is displayed in color code.

    Host Name

    Displays the Host Name of the device.

    IP Address

    Displays the IP Address of the device.

    Status

    Displays the Status of the device.

    Server Type

    Displays the type of the Server.

    Top Five Down Time

    This section displays the top 5 down time of the server device. In this section, you can view Down Time, Up Time, and Duration.

    Last Monitored On

    Displays the date and time the device was last monitored.

    Current Availability & Latency

    Displays the latency report and server availability of the server devices for the present day. You can mouse over to view the current availability. Click the Current Availability graph to view the Server Uptime pop-up.

    You can view the Server Uptime report of the Server Device.

    The following table describes the fields on the SERVER UPTIME pop-up:

    Field

    Description

    Downtime

    Displays the date and time the device was down.

    Uptime

    Displays the date and time the device was up.

    Duration

    Displays the total downtime duration of the Server.

    Cost

    Displays the cost incurred due to the downtime.

    Scheduled

    Select the check box if the downtime was scheduled.

    Remarks

    Specify the remarks for the downtime.

    Reasons

    Select the reasons for the downtime.

    Link to Knowledge Record

    Click the icon to link the error to a Knowledge Record.

    Standard Operating Procedures

    Displays the mapped Standard Operational Procedure. Click the icon to view the SOP template. For more information about SOP mapping, see Mapping Standard Operating Procedures.

    Incident ID

    Displays the Incident ID created for the Server downtime. Click the hyperlink to view the Incident Details.

     

    GENERAL DETAILS

    Configure Server

    Click the Server Configuration hyperlink to update the server details. For more information about updating server details see, Adding/ Modifying Servers.

    Server Type

    Displays the Server Type of the device.

    Tenant

    Displays the Tenant of the server device.

    OS Type

    Displays the Operating System of the server device.

    Vendor

    Displays the vendor name of the server device.

    Customer

    Displays the customer name of the server device.

    Location

    Displays the location of the server device.

    E-mail To

    Displays the e-mail address of the recipients to send the alert/notification e-mails.

    E-mail CC

    Displays the configured e-mail address of the people to whom the alert/notification mails about the device status need to be sent in “CC” list.

    Description

    Displays the description provided for the server device.

    Monitoring Protocol

    Displays the monitoring protocol of the server device.

    Health

    Displays the health of the server.

    Agent Version

    Displays the agent version of the server.

    Service Entitlement

    Displays the configured service entitlement.

    Monitoring Source

    Displays the monitoring source of the server device.

    Reference ID

    Displays the reference ID of the server device.

    Hardware Details

    Click the Expand icon to view the discovered hardware details of the server.

    Click the More Details hyperlink to view additional information discovered for the device.

    titleCPU & MEMORY

    Under the CPU & MEMORY tab, you can monitor the CPU and Memory Utilization details for the selected Server. You can also configure the High, Medium, and Low Threshold values for the CPU and Memory parameters.

    The following table describes the fields under the CPU & MEMORY tab:

    Field

    Description

    CPU Utilization

    Displays the CPU Utilization for the Server. If the CPU Utilization  is above the Threshold, the Utilization graph is displayed in red and if the CPU Utilization is within the Threshold level, the Utilization graph is displayed in green color.

    You can view the CPU Utilization is displayed for the current date, last week, last month and last six months. Click on the graph to view the Server Utilization graph.  CPU Utilization

    Current CPU utilization

    Displays the current CPU Utilization graph for the Server.

    Memory Utilization

    Displays the Memory Utilization for the Server. If the Memory Utilization is above the Threshold, the Utilization graph is displayed in red and if the Memory Utilization is within the Threshold level, the Utilization graph is displayed in green color. You can view the Memory Utilization for the current date, last week, last month, and last six months. Click on the graph to view the Server Utilization graph.

    Displays the Current Memory Utilization graph for the Server.

    THRESHOLD CONFIGURATION

    Note: You can configure threshold parameters only if Edit rights are provided in Role Template. The SUBMIT button is displayed only if you have Edit rights. For details on Role Template, see SummitAI Platform.

    Parameter

    Displays the name of the monitored parameters, CPU and Memory in this case. Click the hyperlink to view the Utilization of the CPU or Memory parameters for the current day.

    Utilization

    Displays the percentage of CPU and Memory Utilization for the Server. The percentage of CPU and Memory usage is represented as a bar in different color codes.

      • If the CPU or Memory usage is above the specified Threshold, the bar has red color code.
      • If the CPU or Memory usage is almost nearing to the specified Threshold value, the bar has blue color code.
      • If the Memory usage is maintained within the specified Threshold value, the bar has green color code.

    Threshold High(%)

    Specify the High Threshold value for each of the parameters.

    Threshold Medium(%)

    Specify the Medium Threshold value for each of the parameters.

    Threshold Low(%)

    Specify the Low Threshold value for each of the parameters.

    titleHARD DISK

    Under the HARD DISK tab, you can monitor the Hard Disk Utilization details for the selected Server. You can also configure the High, Medium, and Low Threshold value for the Hard Disk Utilization.

    The following table describes the fields under the HARD DISK tab:

    Hard Disk Utilization

    Displays the hard disk utilization for the Server. If the hard disk utilization is above the threshold, the utilization graph is displayed in red and if the hard disk utilization is within the threshold level, the utilization graph is displayed in green color.

    Click on the graph to view the hard disk utilization details for the current day.

    Average Current HDD Utilization

    Displays the Current Average Hard Disk Utilization graph. Click on the graph to view the Utilization Details.

    Note:

    Volume

    Displays link for the hard disk partitions for the Server. Click the partition link to view the utilization details for the selected partition. For more information, see Hard disk partition details.

    Capacity

    Displays the capacity of the partition.

    Utilization

    Displays the percentage of hard disk utilization for the Server. The percentage of hard disk usage is represented as a bar in different color codes.

    • If the hard disk usage is above the specified threshold, the bar has red color code.
    • If the hard disk usage is almost nearing to the specified threshold value, the bar has blue color code.
    • If the hard disk usage is maintained within the specified threshold value, the bar has green color code.

    Threshold High(%)

    Type in the high threshold value for each of the partitions.

    Threshold Medium(%)

    Type in the medium threshold value for each of the partitions.

    Threshold Low(%)

    Type in the low threshold value for each of the partitions.

    In the Volume column, click the hard disk partition link to view the graphical representation of utilization details for the selected partition. You can select the period to view the hard disk utilization from the For Time Period list as DAILY, DAILY DETAIL, WEEKLY, MONTHLY. Select the appropriate date or week or month from the list.

    Under the IIS tab, you can view the IIS Server details for the selected Server.

    The following details are displayed in the IIS tab:

    • Status: This section displays the version and status of the IIS Server.
    • Top 5 Downtime details: This section displays the top five downtime details of the IIS Server. Downtime is the time duration for which the Server is not functioning. The details displayed are Downtime, Uptime and Duration.
    • Application Pool and IIS Performance Counters: Each graph under Application pool and  IIS Performance Counters  displays the performance details of a set of Parameters against current day's time. The parameter name are displayed below the respective graph. To hide the graph for a specific parameter, click the parameter name; to enable it, click it again.

    To view the graph for a specific parameter, click on any point in the graph of the respective parameter. The graph drill down is displayed.

    You can do the following in this page:

    • Select a time period in the From Time Period drop-down to view the graph. The available options are Daily, Daily Detail, Weekly, Monthly and Custom Range.

    Under the ASP.NET tab, you can view the graphical representation of the monitoring parameters of ASP.NET Server.

    Each graph displays the performance details of a set of Parameters against current day's time. The parameter name are displayed below the respective graph. To hide the graph for a specific parameter, click the parameter name; to enable it, click it again.

    You can perform the following actions in the PERFORMANCE COUNTERS pop up page:

    • Enable or disable Threshold for a parameter by clicking on the Enable/Disable button. The threshold can be enabled or disabled for a single parameter, and only if a single resource is selected under Resources.
    • View performance graph for any required time period by clicking on the respective time period. The available options are 1 day, 7 days, 1 month, 6 months, and Custom.
    • View performance graphs for multiple parameters for a single resource under Resources, by selecting the required parameters under Available metrics. You cannot view graphs for multiple parameters for multiple resources.
    • View detailed graph (polling interval level) by zooming in. The detailed graph can be viewed only if a single parameter is selected. To zoom in, select an area of the graph.

    On the PORT tab, you can monitor the port details of  the server. You can monitor to view the various parameters of the port details. On the port details tab, you can view the configured port status report and you can also view the PORT Uptime report by clicking the port availability report.  For more information about the fields on the PORT tab see below field description.

    State

    Displays the state of the virtual server. Green color represents the devices which are up.

    Red color represents the devices which are down.

    Guest Name

    Displays the host name of the guest server. You can view Guest Name hyperlink only for monitored servers.
    Click the hyperlink to view the SERVER DETAILS of the guest server.

    IP Address

    Displays the IP Address of the server.

    Operating System

    Displays the operating system of the server.

    CPU(%)

    Displays the CPU utilization percentage details. You can view the utilization percentage hyperlink only if you have added the server for monitoring.
    Click the CPU(%) to view the CPU Utilization details.

    Memory Configured (MB)

    Displays the memory configured for the server.

    Memory (%)

    Displays the Memory utilization percentage details.

    HDD(%)

    Displays the Hard Disk Device (HDD) utilization percentage details of the drive.

    Network Usage

    Displays the network utilization details of the drive.

    Created Date

    Displays the date the server was created.

    Up Time (%)

    Displays the Server Uptime percentage.

    Monitor check box

    Select the check box to add the corresponding server details for monitoring.

    SUBMIT

    Click the SUBMIT button to add the selected servers for monitoring.

    Current Availability Status

    Displays the current availability status of the Guest server. Mouse-over to view the count of servers which are up and down.

    Operating System

    Displays the operating system installed on the guest servers. You can view the percentage of  operating system installed on the total guest servers.

    Open Events for last six months

    Displays the open events logged for the guest and host servers for last six months.

    Events for last 24 hours

    Displays the events logged for the guest and host servers for last six months.

    GUEST UTILIZATION

    TOP 10 SERVER UTILIZATION

    Displays the top ten guest server utilization. It displays the host name and utilization percentage. You can mouse over to view the Host Name, IP address and utilization percentage. Click on the graph to view the SERVER DETAILS of the guest server.

    TOP 10 HARD DISK UTILIZATION

    Displays the top ten hard disk utilization of guest servers. You can mouse over to view the Host Name, IP address and hard disk utilization percentage. Click on the graph to view the SERVER DETAILS of the guest server.

    TOP 10 CPU UTILIZATION

    Displays the top ten CPU utilization of guest servers. You can mouse over to view the Host Name, IP address, and CPU utilization percentage. Click on the graph to view the SERVER DETAILS of the guest server.

    TOP 10 MEMORY UTILIZATION

    Displays the top ten Memory utilization of guest servers. You can mouse over to view the Host Name, IP address, and memory utilization percentage.
    Click on the graph to view the SERVER DETAILS of the guest server.

    titleVMWARE

    On the VMWARE tab, you can view the server details of a server with the vmware software installed on it. The VMware server allows you to create and manage virtual server machines. For more information about the fields on the VMWARE tab see below field description.

    Displays the CPU utilization percentage details.

    Memory Configured

    Displays the memory configured for the server.

    Memory(%)

    Displays the Memory utilization percentage details.

    HDD(%)

    Displays the HDD utilization percentage details.

    Network Usage

    Displays the network utilization details of the drive.

    Created Date

    Displays the date the server was created.

    Up Time (%)

    Displays the Server Uptime percentage.

    Monitor check box

    Select the check box to add the corresponding server details for monitoring.

    SUBMIT

    Click this button to add the selected servers for monitoring.

    Current Availability Status

    Displays the current availability status of the Guest server. Mouse-over to view the count of servers which are up and down.

    Operating System

    Displays the operating system installed on the drives. You can view the percentage of drives with a specific operating system.

    Open Events for last six months

    Displays the open events logged for the drive for last six months.

    Events for last 24 hours

    Displays the events logged for the drive for last six months.

    GUEST UTILIZATION

    TOP 10 SERVER UTILIZATION

    Displays the top ten guest server utilization. It displays the host name and utilization percentage. You can mouse over to view the Host Name, IP address and utilization percentage.

    titleSERVICES

    Under the SERVICES tab, you can view the current service status, services configured for monitoring, and Overall Service Status. Click the graph to view the service details. You can also view Configured Service Status graph. You can monitor the configured Service details, such as Service Name, Description of the service, Status, and the Last Monitored date and time of the Service. Click the Expand To Show Configured Services link to view the Service details.

    Click the Add services for monitoring link to add the new Service for monitoring. The DETAILS table listing all the configured Services is displayed. Select the check box for the Service you want to add and click SUBMIT.

    Click the bar graph for the Service to view the details of the Service, such as monitor duration, Total Downtime, DownTime, UpTime, Duration, ScheduledDownTime and Incident ID.

    • Click the Print Table icon to print the table details.
    • Click the Export to Excel icon to export the table details to a Microsoft Excel sheet.

    Under the APP LOG tab, you can monitor the configured application log details for the server. The details on this tab are displayed only for the servers for which the applications are configured for monitoring purpose.

    Under the H/W HEALTH tab, you can monitor the hardware details, such as Battery Status,Cooling

    Device, Status Disk, Memory, Power Supply, Processor, Temperature, and so on of a selected server. Based on the selected component, you can view the respective sensor,reading and status for it.

    titlePERFORMANCE COUNTER

    PERFORMANCE COUNTER tab allows you to view the utilization percentage of sub-parameters of Memory, Hard Disk, CPU and Network. Based on the configuration on the Service Entitlement page, you can view the monitored parameter and sub-parameter values in the respective sections.

    On the PERFORMANCE COUNTER tab, you can view and configure the High, Medium and Low threshold values for the parameters.

    Under the SNMP Traps tab, you can monitor the Trap time, Trap OID value and the Trap Messages of the selected Network Device that is configured with the SNMP Trap rules. You can search the SNMP Trap data for the selected range of time.

    Event Status

    Lists the Event status. Select an Event status to filter and display the event list.

    Category

    You can view the list of Critical events logged for the link.

    Warning

    You can view the list of Warning events logged  for the link.

    Alert

    You can view the list of Alert event logged for the link.

    Information

    You can view the list of Information events logged for the link.

    Serial Number

    Displays the serial number.

    Event ID

    Displays the event identification number.
    Click the hyperlink to view the Event Details. For more information about the fields on Event ID pop-up see, Event List Report.

    Category

    Displays the category of the event.

    Status

    Displays the status of the event.

    Message

    Displays the message configured for the device.

    SOP icon

    The icon is displayed if a SOP template is mapped to the device. Click the icon to view the SOP template. For more information about SOP mapping see, Configuring Standard Operating Procedure Mapping.

    Error

    Displays the occurred error in the device.  

    Acknowledged

    Displays the event acknowledged status.

    Created Date

    Displays the date the event was created.

    Incident ID

    Displays the incident identification number for the event.
    Click the hyperlink to view the Incident Details.

    On the Buffer and Swap Memory tab, you can monitor the buffer memory and SWAP (Shared Wireless Access Protocol) memory details for the selected server. On the SWAP Memory Utilization section, you can view the utilization percentage of the swap memory for the current day, last week, last month, and last six months. The current swap memory utilization graph is also displayed.

    You can mouse over to view the utilization percentage of the device.

    On the BUFFER MEMORY UTILIZATION section, you can view the utilization percentage of the buffer memory for the current day, last week, last month, and last six months. The current buffer memory utilization graph is displayed.

    titleMS SQL SERVER

    On the MS SQL Server tab, you can monitor the Server Variables, Databases, Tables, and Users. The MS SQL Server tab is displayed only if the MS SQL servers are configured for monitoring.

    On the Server Variables tab, MS SQL servers that are monitored through server agents and proxy agents and it  displays the values of the parameter, for example, Buffer Cache Hit Ratio, Free Pages, Number of Deadlocks/sec, Log File Used, and so on.

    On the Database tab, you can view the database details for the selected instance.

    Under the ZOMBIE PROCESS tab, you can monitor the list of Zombies, which are dead processes. Any process that eventually dies is called a Zombie process. You can view the number of Zombie processes running on the Servers. You can also view the Event Trends report of the Zombie process.

Click the FILTERS icon to specify a particular filter criteria to display the Servers. On clicking the Filters icon, the FILTERS pop-up page is displayed. Select the Tenant and other required details. Click SUBMIT.

Tenant

Lists the Tenants to which logged in user has access. Select the Tenant from the list.

View

Lists the configured Views. Select the View from the list to display the Servers.

Customer

Lists the configured Customers. Select the Customer from the list to display the Servers for the selected Customer.

Location

Lists the configured Locations. Select the Location from the list to view the Server for the selected Location.

Group

Lists the configured Server Groups. Select  the Group from the list to view the Servers for the selected Server Group.

Refresh Page In

Specify the refresh interval for the SERVER VIEW page.

PRINT

Click PRINT to print the LIST table details. 

EXPORT TO EXCEL

Click EXPORT TO EXCEL to export the LIST table details to a Microsoft Excel sheet.
