Feature released in SummitAI Asset Management (Denali SP3 HF14, Asset Management)

What's New?

An Admin or Analyst can configure the software that can be installed by the Asset Agent or remotely on the target devices. For more information, see Software Delivery.

The SummitAI Asset Management module now supports additional security protocols such as HTTPS and SFTP along with the already existing protocols such as UNC, HTTP, and FTP for software deployment.

With respect to User Authentication Based Log In, SFTP is introduced along with FTP which was previously available. To ensure securely updating the software package and to avoid any compromises or data breaches, additional security protocols have been added for uploading the software.

Benefits

  • Provides provision to configure User or Service accounts in the Admin console.
  • Allows Asset Managers to select the User accounts during the Package creation, instead of manually inserting the Username and password every time.
  • Prevents the exposure of Service account details to Asset Managers, as the configuration of User or Service accounts is moved to Admin console from Software Package screen which had possibilities of security breach.
