On Edit Network Link Details page, you can edit a Connector in a Network Diagram using the Edit Connector right-click menu option on the Connector and make the necessary changes for a Network Connector.

To edit Network Link Details:

  1. Select Operations > Configuration > Networks > View > Edit View.
  2. Click the View Name in the List table. The DRAW VIEW page is displayed.
  3. On the Drawing Board, right-click on the Network Link and select Edit Connector.
  4. On the EDIT NETWORK LINK DETAILS page, edit the required fields.

Field Description

The following table explains about the fields on EDIT NETWORK LINK DETAILS page:

Field

Description

Link Name

Displays the name of the Network Link in the following format: <Source Device host name> to <Destination Device host name>.

Link Capacity (in Kbps)

Displays the Capacity of the Link.

Service Entitlement

Lists the configured Service Entitlements. Select a Service Entitlement option from the list box.

Source Device IP

Displays the IP address of the Source Device.

Destination Device IP

Displays the IP address of the Destination Device.

Source Interface

Lists the Interface of the Source Device. Select an Interface name from the drop-down list.

Destination Interface

Lists the Interface of a Destination device. Select an Interface name from the drop-down list.

Source Description

By default, displays the specified Source description in the Add Connector dialog box. Type in/ modify the description text if required.

Destination Description

Type in/ modify a brief description about the Destination device.

Source Interface IP

Type in/ modify the IP address of the selected Source Interface.

Destination Interface IP

Type in/ modify the IP address of the selected Destination Interface.

Source Ifindex

Type in/ modify the Ifindex of the Source Device Interface that is provided by the network operator.

Destination Ifindex

Type in/ modify the Ifindex of the Destination Device Interface that is provided by the network operator.

Source Port Speed (in Kbps)

Type in/ modify the Source Port Speed of the Network Device in Kbps.

Destination Port Speed (in Kbps)

Type in/ modify the Destination Port Speed of the Network Device in Kbps.

BGP Peer

Select this check box to specify the IP address for Border Gateway Protocol (BGP Peer). By default, displays the IP address of the Destination device.

Connector Thickness

Select the Connector thickness.

Ping Timeout (in ms)

Type in the Ping Time Out for the Network Link. In the specified time, the Network Device communicates the destination IP address for the Network Device to reach and record results.

Ping Retry

Type in the number of times the ping operation need to be repeated with the Network Link that you are adding.

Remote Ping

Select this check box to specify the IP address for Remote Ping.

Active

Indicates the status set for a Link/Connector.

  • If selected, the Link is active and is displayed in the Network View.
  • If not selected, the Link is inactive and is not displayed in the Network View.

Managed By

Select the company or infrastructure name, which manages the Services.

Provided By

Select if the company or infrastructure name, which provides or owns the Services.

Criticality

Lists the options to specify the Link Criticality: Low, Medium, High. Select an option from the drop-down list box.

Backup Link

If selected, you can specify user details, who can take the backup configuration details. Click the Clear icon to clear the specified values.

Click the Select Device icon to specify the backup Links.

The following table describes the fields on the Select Backup Link pop-up page:

Fields

Description

Search

Specify the Backup Device in the text box to search for the Backup Device.

Customer

Lists the configured Customers. Select a Customer associated with the Backup Device from the list.

Location

Lists the configured Locations. Select a Location associated with the Backup Device from the list.

Backup Devices

Lists the Backup Devices based on the specified filter criteria.  Select the Backup Devices.

Reference ID

Specify the unique reference identification number of the Link.

Note: If the reference ID is not configured, the unique identification number of the Link is displayed in Link details.

SOP

Lists the configured Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Select a SOP from the list.

Mail To

Type in the e-mail ids of the personnel to whom the alert/notification e-mails about the Link need to be sent in the “To” list.

Mail CC

Type in the e-mail id of the personnel to whom the alert/notification e-mails about the Link need to be sent in the “CC” list.
