You can add, modify, and delete a Server View. You can configure a View on the basis of Location, Customer, Server type, Vendor, Operating System type, and Group.

To configure Server Views:

  1. Select Operations>User > Servers > Configure View.
  2. On the CONFIGURE VIEW page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
  3. Select the Tenant and fill in the required details. For more information about fields on the CONFIGURE VIEW page, see Field Description.
  4. Click SUBMIT. The View is configured.

The following table describes the fields on the CONFIGURE VIEW page:

Field

Description

View Name

Type in the name for the new Server View.

Description

Type in the description for the Server View.

Customer

Lists the configured Customers for the selected Tenant. Select the Customer from the list. If you want to select more than one Customer, press and hold down the Ctrl key and click the Customers to be selected.

Location

Lists the configured Locations for the selected Tenant. Select the Location from the list. If you want to select more than one Locations, press and hold down the Ctrl key and click the Locations to be selected.

Server Type

Lists the configured Server types for the selected Tenant. Select the Server type from the list. If you want to select more than one Server type, press and hold down the Ctrl key and click the Server type to be selected.

Operating System Types

Lists the configured operating systems for the selected Tenant. Select the OS type from the list. If you want to select more than one Operating System type, press and hold down the Ctrl key and click the Operating System type to be selected.

Vendor

Lists the configured Vendors for the selected Tenant. Select the Vendor from the list. If you want to select more than one Vendor, press and hold down the Ctrl key and click the Vendors to be selected.

Group

Lists the configured groups for the selected Tenant. Select the group from the list. If you want to select more than one group, press and hold down the Ctrl key and click the groups to be selected.

Active

Indicates the status set for the Server View.

  • If selected, the View is displayed in the Server View (User > View > Server View).
  • If not selected, the View is not displayed in the Server View

Public View

Indicates the status set for other users.

  • If selected, the View is also available to the other users.
  • If not selected, the View is not available to the other users.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the CONFIGURE VIEWS page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Views for the selected Tenant.

  • To modify a View, click the configured View Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
  • Click the Delete icon to delete the corresponding View.

When the Views are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new View.
