You can configure the End Users as Knowledge Record Authors to provide them Workgroup-wise edit access to Knowledge Records for a Tenant. 

To configure Knowledge Record Authors:

  1. Select Knowledge > Configuration > Knowledge Record Author.
  2. Select a Tenant on the KNOWLEDGE RECORD AUTHOR page.
  3. On the KNOWLEDGE RECORD AUTHOR page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS.
  4. Type in the new Knowledge Record Author details. For information about the fields on the KNOWLEDGE RECORD AUTHOR page, see Field Description.
  5. Click SUBMIT. A new Knowledge Record Author is configured.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the KNOWLEDGE RECORD AUTHOR page:

DETAILS

Author

Type in the name of the person whom you want to configure as an Author for the selected Tenant. To search for a user name, click the Search icon. For information about searching users, see Searching Users in SummitAI Platfrom Online Help.

Workgroup

Select the required Workgroups. Select All check box to select all the Workgroups.

Active

  • Select the Active check box to make the Author active. 
  • If not selected, the Author becomes an inactive Author.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the KNOWLEDGE RECORD AUTHOR page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Knowledge Record Authors for the selected Tenant.

  • To edit a Knowledge Record Author, click the Knowledge Record Author's Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
  • To display the inactive Knowledge Record Author, click the Include Inactive check box.


Note:

When the configured Knowledge Record Authors are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Knowledge Record Author.
