On the EVENT LOG TEMPLATE page, you can configure Event Log Templates to monitor selected Event Logs and Event Types. You can also specify the Event ID and Event Message to monitor. You can configure to send Alerts and Log Incidents for Event Log Parameters on the ALERT AND LOG INCIDENT page (see: Configuring Alerts And Log Incidents).

To configure Event Log Templates:

  1. Select Operations > Configuration > Servers > Event Log Template. The EVENT LOG TEMPLATE page is displayed.
  2. On the EVENT LOG TEMPLATE page, click the ADD NEW icon to configure a new Event Log Template.
  3. On the EVENT LOG TEMPLATE page, specify the required details and click ADD. For more information about the fields on the EVENT LOG TEMPLATE page, see Field Description.

    Note:

    You can add multiple Event details in this page. The added details are displayed in the same page.

  4. Click SUBMIT.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the EVENT LOG TEMPLATE page:

Description

DETAILS

Tenant

Lists the configured Tenants. Select a tenant from the list.

Template Name

Specify the name for the Event Log Template.

Event Log

Allows the Server to monitor the selected Event Logs.

  • System: Select the check box to monitor System Logs.
  • Security: Select the check box to monitor Security Logs.
  • Application: Select the check box to monitor Application Logs.

Event Type

Allows the Server to monitor the Event Types.

  • Error: Select the check box to monitor Error Event Type.
  • Warning: Select the check box to monitor Warning Event Type.
  • Information: Select the check box to monitor Information Event Type.
  • Success Audit: Select the check box to monitor Success Audit Event Type.
  • Failure Audit: Select the check box to monitor Failure Audit Event Type.
  • Critical: Select the check box to monitor Critical Event Type.

Event ID

Specify the Event IDs, which need to be monitored.

Event Message

Specify the Event Message, which needs to be monitored.

Active

Indicates the status of the Event Log Template.

  • If selected, the Event Log Template is active and is displayed in the Event Log Template list.
  • If not selected, the Event Log Template becomes inactive.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the Event Log Template page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Event Log Templates for the selected Tenant.

  • To modify an Event Log Template, click the Template Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
  • To display the inactive Event Log Templates, click the Include Inactive check box.

Note:

When the Event Log Template list is displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Event Log Template.
