You can configure SMTP to send your e-mails through an e-mail queue. When you send a number of e-mails, the SMTP server puts all the e-mails in a queue and delivers the e-mails to the recipients in a sequence.

To configure SMTP:

  1. Click Admin > Basic > Infrastructure > SMTP Configuration.
  2. On the SMTP CONFIGURATION page, on the ACTIONS panel, click ADD NEW.

  3. Fill in the required fields, and then click SUBMIT. For more information about the fields on the SMTP CONFIGURATION page, see Field Description.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the SMTP CONFIGURATION page:

Field

Description

Configuration Type

Select the SMTP Configuration Type from the drop-down list. You can select either General or Tenant.

Tenant

Select the Tenant from the drop-down list for which you are configuring SMTP.

From Name

Type in the name that is displayed to the e-mail recipient along with the sender's e-mail id.

From E-mail ID

Type in e-mail id of the sender.

Active

If selected, this configuration becomes active.

Primary

Server Name

Type in the primary SMTP server name.

Port

Type in the port number for the SMTP server.

User Name

Type in your SMTP user name.

Password

Type in a password for the Primary SMTP server that you are configuring.

SSL Required

Select the check box if SSL is required.

Secondary

Server Name

Type in the secondary SMTP server name.

Port

Type in the port number for the SMTP server.

User Name

Type in your SMTP user name.

Password

Type in a password for the secondary SMTP server that you are configuring.

SSL Required

Select the check box if SSL is required.

API

API Type

Select the API Type from the drop-down list.

  • SendGridTM: It is a cloud based SMTP Provider that allows you to send e-mail without maintaining e-mail servers.

API Key

Type in the API Key.

Value

Type in the API Key value.

Active

If selected, the API configuration becomes active.

ACTIONS

This section explains the icons displayed on the SMTP CONFIGURATION page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to view the list of configured SMTP servers. To edit a SMTP Configuration detail, click the related Configuration ID. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.

Note:

When the SMTP Configuration details are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW icon is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure SMTP.
