You can specify the Tenants, reports, and screens to which Users can have access. The administrator can select the required menu access to the particular Role Template. Only the selected Menus are displayed to the users assigned to that Role Template. The access to users is based on the Domain and Role Template to which they are assigned.

To add Role Template other configuration:

  1. Select Admin > Basic > Users > Role Template.
  2. Click the ADD OTHER CONFIGURATION icon on the ACTIONS panel to create a new Role Template and add the Other Configuration details for the new Role Template.
  3. On the ROLE TEMPLATE - OTHER CONFIGURATION page, select the Domain make the required selections. For more information about the fields and icons on the ROLE TEMPLATE - OTHER CONFIGURATION page, see Field Description.
  4. Click SUBMIT. The Role Template Other Configuration details are added.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the ROLE TEMPLATE - OTHER CONFIGURATION page:

Description

DETAILS

Template Name

Type in the Template name.

Active

Select the check box to activate the Role Template. If selected, the Role Template becomes available to be assigned to Users.

ADMINISTRATIVE SCREENS

Tenant

Select the Tenants to which the Users assigned of the Role Template should have administrative rights.

GENERAL SCREENS

Tenant

Select the Tenants. The selected tenants are available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (general pages of the application)

REPORT SCREENS

Tenant

Select the Tenants. The selected tenants are available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (reports).

Workgroup

Select the Workgroups. The selected Workgroups are available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (reports).

Include Logged In User's

This field contains two check boxes as:

  • Customer: If selected, the logged in user will have access to their respective customer’s reports.
  • Sub Customer: If selected, the logged in user will have access to its customer and sub customer’s reports.

Customer

Select the Customers. The selected customers are available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (reports).

Location

Select the Locations. The selected locations are available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (reports).

Create Dashboard

If selected, the icon, New Dashboard is displayed on the Reports page. For more information about the icon, see Viewing Reports.

Create Report

If selected, the icons, New Report and Instant Report are displayed on the Reports page. For more information about the icons, see Viewing Reports.

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT (SCREENS & REPORTS)

Customer

Select the Customers. The selected customers are available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (Operations Management pages and reports)

Location

Select the Locations. The selected locations are available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (Operations Management pages and reports)

ASSET MANAGEMENT

Tenant

Select the Tenants that should be available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (Asset Management page)

Location

Select the Locations that should be available to the Users assigned to the Role Template (Asset Management pages). Select Locations from the Available Location list, click the icon to move them to the Selected Location list. To remove locations from the Selected Location list, click the  icon.

SCRIPTING
Enable ScriptingIf selected, the Scripting icon becomes available for the Administrators to write their own Java Script and CSS codes to customize the fields.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the ROLE TEMPLATE - OTHER CONFIGURATION page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Templates.

  • To display the inactive Templates, click the Include Inactive check box.
  • To edit a Template, click the configured Template Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.


MENU CONFIGURATION

Click MENU CONFIGURATION to configure menus for Role Templates. For information about configuring menus for Role Templates, see Adding Role Template Menu Configuration.
