Status Configuration for Fixed and Non-Fixed Assets

The asset status and sub-status information is used to track the asset accurately at a detailed level. An Administrator can rename Asset status and also create sub statuses (max. up to 3) under a particular asset status. The Administrator can add, rename, deactivate and configure the sub-status for the selected Tenant. Upon configuration, the renamed status and new sub statuses will supersede all the previous status/sub status name on all the applicable pages of Fixed and Non-fixed assets.

To create Sub status, perform the following steps:

  1. Select Asset > Configuration > Asset Masters > Status Configuration.
  2. On the STATUS CONFIGURATION page, select the Tenant. A list of all the configured status for the selected Tenant is displayed under the DETAILS section.

    Note

    • The Green color code indicates a default Sub status.
    • The Red color code indicates a deactivated Sub Status.
    • The Yellow color code indicates a new Sub Status.
  3. Right-click any of the default status, a pop-up list with the following options is displayed:

    • Create Sub status: Click this option to create a new sub status. The Analyst can add a new sub status under the parent status. The newly added sub status is reflected in the amber color.
    • Rename: Click this option to rename a parent status. The Analyst can rename an existing parent status based on the requirements.

  4. Right-click the required sub status, a pop-up list with the following options is displayed:

    • Rename: Click this option to rename a sub status. The Analyst can rename an existing sub status based on the requirements.
    • Deactivate: Click this option to inactivate the selected sub status.

      Note

      The inactive sub status is displayed in red color. To inactivate a sub status, see How to inactivate a sub status?

    • Set as Default: Click this option to set a sub status as default. The default sub status is reflected in green color.
    • Configure: Click this option to configure a sub status. to configure a sub status, see How to configure a sub status?
  5. Click SUBMIT to save the changes.

    Note

    If multiple sub statuses are created under a Parent status then only one sub status can be set as default sub status.

ACTIONS

This section explains the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the Status Configuration page.

Click EXPAND ALL to expand all the configured status.

Note

When the expanded Status list is displayed under the DETAILS section, the COLLAPSE ALL action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click COLLAPSE ALL to collapse the status list.

How to inactivate a sub status?

To inactivate a sub status, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the required sub status of the STATUS CONFIGURATION page.
  2. Right-click the sub status and click Deactive.

    If any asset is mapped to this sub status, the below  pop-up message is displayed:

    How to configure a sub status?

    By configuring sub status, you can map Status and the corresponding Sub Status to available Asset types in your organization.

    To configure a Sub Status, perform the following steps:

    1. Select Asset > Configuration > Status Configuration
    2. On the STATUS CONFIGURATION page, select the tenant from the left panel.
    3. Statuses are displayed in a tree structure. Click on the sign to expand the parent status. Right-click the Sub status to be configured. A drop-down menu is displayed as shown in the figure below.

d. Click Configure. All the Asset Types are displayed in the pop-up. Refer the figure below. You may enter a short description about the selected sub status in the corresponding field.

The asset types that can be mapped are available in an editable format (not greyed out).
