You can view the software installations per Tenant, the number of installations for which credentials are defined for the users, the number of installations for which credentials are not defined for the users, andĀ the number of failed and successful logins. You can also define credentials for the databases for which credentials are not defined.
To define credentials for the databases:
- Select Asset > Configuration > Others > Additional Discovery.
- On the FILTERS pop-up page, select the Tenant, fill in the required details and click SUBMIT. For more information about the fields on the FILTERS pop-up page, see Filters. The ADDITIONAL DISCOVERY page is displayed.

The ORACLE DB CREDENTIALS or IBM DB CREDENTIALS page is displayed according to the database you select. Figure: IBM DB CREDENTIALS page Scroll the horizontal scroll bar to configure the fields under Tenant, User Name, Password, Port, Proxy, and Discovery columns. Click SAVE on the ACTIONS panel to save the configured credentials.

The IBM Database Name column is displayed only when you define database credentials for the Assets that are having IBM software licenses.
Field Description
The following table describes the fields on the ORACLE DB CREDENTIALS and IBM DB CREDENTIALS pages.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Asset Code | Displays the Asset Code of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
Asset ID | Displays the Asset ID of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
Serial Number | Displays the Serial Number of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
Host Name | Displays the Host Name of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
Store Location | Displays the Store Location of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
Asset Store | Displays the Store Name of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
Floor Location | Displays the Floor Location of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
Asset Floor | Displays the Floor Name of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
Category Name | Displays the Category of the Asset for which you want to define the database credentials. |
User Name | Displays the User Name of the user to whom the Asset is allocated. |
Emp. ID | Displays the Employee ID of the user to whom the Asset is allocated. |
E-mail ID | Displays the E-mail ID of the user to whom the Asset is allocated. |
Customer Name | Displays the Customer Name of the User. |
Connection Status | Displays the database connection status. |
Software Name | Displays the name of the software |
IBM Database Name | Specify the IBM database name to discover the IBM database parameters. |
Oracle Instance/IBM Instance | Type in the Oracle/IBM Instance name for connecting to the database. |
User Name | Type in a user name for the User to access the database. |
Password | Type in the password for the user name that you specified in the User Name field. |
Re-enter Password | Type in the password again. |
Port | Type in the port number. |
Proxy | Select the Proxy Server from the drop-down list. If you select Agent Based, the Discovery is done by the Agent that is installed on specific machines. |
Discovery | Select Include to discover the IBM/Oracle database parameters in the selected Assets. If you select Exclude, no parameters are discovered in the selected Assets. |
Click the icon to copy the content of a field to the next field in the same column. | |
Click the icon to copy the content of a field to all the fields in the same column. |
ACTIONS
This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the ADDITIONAL DISCOVERY, ORACLE DB CREDENTIALS and IBM DB CREDENTIALS pages.
Filters
Click Filters to set the filter criteria to view the list of software on the ADDITIONAL DISCOVERY page.

The following table describes the fields on the FILTERS pop-up page.
Fields | Description |
---|---|
Tenant | Select the Tenant from the drop-down list for which you want to view the list of Oracle software. |
Location | Select the Location for which you want to view the list of software. |
Filter By | Select the filter criteria according to which you want to view the software on the ADDITIONAL DISCOVERY page. You can select either Asset or Software. If you select Software, the Vendor and Software fields are displayed. |
Vendor | Type in the software vendor's name. For a wildcard search, type in the vendor's name along with a % symbol each side of the vendor's name. |
Software | Type in the software's name. |
Search By | Select the search criteria according to which you want to search the software. You can select the criteria Asset ID, Serial Number, or Host Name. |
Search Value | Type in the search value according to the search criteria that you select. |
Database type | Select the database type. Based on the selection of database type, you can view the version list in the subsequent field. You can select the database types:

IBM Version List/Oracle Version List | Select the IBM/Oracle versions from the drop-down list. You can select more than one version. |
Include Store Asset | Select the check box to include the In Store Assets in the report. |
Click PRINT to print the displayed report records.
EXPORT TO EXCEL
Click EXPORT TO EXCEL to export the record displayed on the report to a Microsoft Excel sheet.
SHOW LIST
Click SHOW LIST to view the software on the ADDITIONAL DISCOVERY page.
