What is Password Management?

SummitAI Password Management is a self-service solution that enables your users to reset their forgotten passwords and unlock their Active Directory accounts. This gives more power to the users where they do not need to depend on the Administrators or require IT Support team's time and effort to sort out the simple password change, and account unlock related queries. Hence, this empowers the users and reduces the work load of the IT Support team freeing up their time to work on more complex issues.

The SummitAI Password Management is available on web and on mobile to the users.

Benefits

  • The IT Administrators or IT Support team do not need to spend time in fixing password reset and account unlock requests from End Users.
  • The IT Administrators can configure AD Properties, such as Last Name, which the End Users can update themselves.
  • This gives more power to the End Users, wherein, they can self-service and sort out the most frequently encountered issues, such as locked account, change password, and updating user information.

How to Access Password Management Module?

The SummitAI Password Management module can be accessed by users using the following ways:

  • Web Portal: You can access the SummitAI Password Management application using the URL provided by the IT Team of the organization.
  • Mobile Application: You can access the SummitAI Password Management using your mobile devices by installing the SummitAI Mobile App, in which the SummitAI Password Management module is integrated. These options are available only if your organization has subscribed to SummitAI Password Management.

  • 250 GB Hard Disk (Minimum 100 GB)
Minimum Software Requirements
  • Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise edition or later
  • IIS 7.0 or above (Web Server)
  • Dot Net Framework 4.6.2 and above
  • NET State Service start type with Automatic
Mandatory Upgrades in SummitAI v5.6 or later Versions

To upgrade the SummitAI application to v5.6 or later, upgrade all the SummitAI Data Collector and SummitAI Proxy servers to v5.6 or later.

Note:

  • With IE version 8 & 9, only End User screen for Service Management will be For all other roles, IE version 10 and above is required.
  • When viewing the Application, it is best to view at 1366 x 768 screen resolution.
