Restoring data from Production to Staging Environment

There may be a need to restore the Production database to a Staging environment to perform tests on real-time data. Data restore is the process of copying backup data from secondary storage and restoring it to staging or preprod environment. A restore is performed to return data that has latest data in production for testing in the preprod or staging environment.

This scope of this document is to provide clarity on which tasks will be handled by Summit Team and which are the other tasks that must be done by customer, post restoring data from Production to Staging environment.

Target Audience

The target audience for this document are Summit Support team and external customers. This document needs to be used along with the Summit Installation Guide.
