AAdding New Users With OAuth and SAML Authentication Types

Read Complete Release Notes

Feature released in SummitAI Platform (Alps)

What's New?

Now, a new user is created if a user who is not a part of SummitAI database tries to log in to the SummitAI application. The configured Time Zone and Role Template are assigned to the newly created user.

On the SSO CONFIGURATION page (Admin > Basic > Infrastructure > SSO Configuration), for the SAML and OAuth Authentication Types, the following fields are added newly:

  • Request Authentication Context: This field lists the conditions to match the authentication context. To create a user, the authentication context must match with the authentication method. The available matching criterion is Better, Exact, Maximum, and Minimum. This field is added only for the SAML authentication type.
  • User Creation: Upon enabling this check box, the user is created if that user is not available in SummitAI database but wants to login into the SummtAI application using SAML or OAuth authentication method.
  • Time Zone: A list of Time Zones is displayed in the drop-down. The selected Time Zone is assigned to the newly created user.
  • Template Name: The Role Template table is displayed. The selected Role Template is assigned to the newly created user.

Note:

The Time Zone and Template Name fields are displayed only when the User Creation check box is selected.
