This section lists the newly introduced features, and known issues in the release, Service Automation.

Service Automation

Monitoring Dashboard

Now, a new screen, Monitoring Dashboard  is introduced in the Service Automation module to visually tracks, analyses, and displays data to monitor the Service Automation application. It is designed to display the following charts:

  • Workflows
  • Scripts
  • API
  • Execution Overview
  • Top 5 Workflow Executions
  • Top 5 Tenants
  • Top 5 Categories

Category Configurations

Now, a new screen, Category Configurations is introduced in the Service Automation module to configure Script Category and Workflow Category. You can use Script Category while creating a new Script and Workflow Category while creating a new Workflow configuration.

API Configurations

Now, you can configure the API for POST or GET methods by providing details such as data source name, service URL, type of request, and the request payload. To configure the Service Automation in Summit, we need to get the data from Summit. Information such as incident details, Service Request, Custom attributes, customer names and location names can be configured as API in the API Configurations screen.

Multi Tenant Support

Now, Multi-Tenant feature will serve the multiple customers, each one of them being isolated in terms of data. Using Multi-tenant feature, the Managed Service Providers (MSP) or Global Domain can make sure that the user’s data of one domain is not accessible to another.

ITSM Settings List

New list page has been added for the ITSM configurations screen so that users may add multiple products in the future. In this page, the product section names the product chosen for SummitAI Service AutomationThese define the product that must be configured to Service Automation.

Workflow Designer

The Service Automation Workflow Designer provides a wide-ranging toolset to design workflows in great detail. In Service Automation Workflows, configure the Workflows for Incidents, Service Requests (SRs), and Work Orders. Complex processes like adding recipient to security group, whitelisting MAC addresses, printer installation can all be automated.

Workflow List & Execution pages

Now, the UI displays workflows by category, based on the user’s tenant access in tile or list view. You can further check details of the workflow on the list pages. Workflow Execution provides a new standard way for users to submit workflow requests to workflow execution systems, and to monitor their execution. Execution history page provides script data in workflow format or a timeline displaying the success and failure of tickets over the year.

Proxy Configuration

In Service Automation, the Proxy Configurations list page specifies the particular range of IP addresses that a particular host (IP) manages. Now you can fill out details of the Proxy and the corresponding IP ranges.
