Logging Defects

You need to log the defects that you come across while testing the Change Record.
To log defects:
- Open the CHANGE RECORD ID (Change > User > Change Record List) page of the CR (for which you want to log defects) and click the TEST tab.
- Under the TEST tab, click LOG DEFECTS button. The LOG DEFECTS pop-up page is displayed. Type in the required details on the LOG DEFECTS pop-up page. For more information about the fields on the LOG DEFECTS pop-up page, see Field Description.

3. Click SUBMIT. The new defect is added and is displayed under the DEFECTS section of the CHANGE RECORD ID page under the TEST tab (see: TEST Tab).
Note:
You can log defects for CRs as a Customer Approver even if you are not an Analyst. The Customer Acceptance Test Required check box should be selected under the GENERAL tab of the CR and you must be selected as a Tester (see: Creating Change Records (CRs)).
Field Description
The following table describes the fields on the LOG DEFECTS pop-up page:
Field | Description |

Workgroup | Select the Workgroup assigned to this defect. |
Raised On | Displays the date of logging the defect. |
Defect Description | Type in a description for the defect. |
Steps to Reproduce a Bug | Type in the steps that should be performed to reproduce the defect. |
Priority | Select the Priority of the defect. |
Severity | Select the Severity of the defect. |
Defect Type | Select the defect type from the list. |
Defect Sub Type | Select the sub defect type from the list. |
Attachment | Click the Upload icon to attach files. |
Defect Status | Select a status for the defect. |
