Configuring CMDB Mapping

You can configure Category attributes that are defined in Asset Management module with the Classifications in the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) module. This mapping enables the Analysts to import Asset details to CMDB using the CMDB Import menu option. The SUMMIT Service Management and SUMMIT Asset Management are integrated allowing CMDB import.

To configure CMDB Mapping:

  1. Select Asset > Configuration > Mapping > CMDB Mapping.
  2. On the CMDB MAPPING page, select the Tenant. Select the Asset Category and the CMDB Classification from the respective lists. Select appropriate Mapping Column for the Asset Attribute.
  3. Click SUBMIT. The CMDB Mapping is configured.
