Configuring Service Entitlements

Service Entitlement allows you to create categories to define Monitoring Parameters for a selected Tenant and device type. The Service Entitlement can be configured for device types, such as Network Devices, Servers, Network Links, Network Interfaces, Printers and URLs.  Based on the selected Device Type, the associated parameters are displayed. You can select the parameters that you want to monitor for the selected device.

To configure Service Entitlements:

  1. Select Operations > Configuration > General > Service Entitlement.
  2. On the SERVICE ENTITLEMENT page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
  3. Click the Filters icon. On the FILTERS pop-up page, select the Tenant and Device Type for which you want to configure the Service Entitlement. Click SUBMIT. The parameters for the selected device type are displayed in tree view corresponding to the Parameters field. For detailed list of monitoring parameters, see Parameters.
  4. Type in the Name and select the check box corresponding to the parameters that you want to add to the Service Entitlement. Select the Active check box to make it an active Service Entitlement.
  5. Click SUBMIT. The new Service Entitlement is configured.

    Note:

    Only the selected parameters in a Service Entitlement are monitored and displayed on the device details pop-up. The selected parameters are monitored if the respective job is enabled on the CUSTOM SCHEDULER page. For more information about CUSTOM SCHEDULER page see, SummitAI Platform.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the SERVICE ENTITLEMENT page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Service Entitlements for the selected Tenant.

  • To modify a Service Entitlement, click the configured Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
    • On the SERVICE ENTITLEMENT page, while modifying an existing Service Entitlement, the CHANGE HISTORY icon is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click the CHANGE HISTORY icon to view the change history for the Service Entitlement.

      • Click the Print icon to print the JOURNAL table details.
      • Click the Export to Excel icon the export the JOURNAL table details to a Microsoft Excel sheet.
  • Click EXPAND ALL icon to expand all the classification nodes.
  • To display the inactive Service Entitlements, click the Include Inactive check box.

    Note:

    When the Service Entitlements are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Service Entitlement.
