Perform the below steps to identify duplicate users. If there are duplicate users, it can be deactivated from the system by performing the Pre-requisite and the Cleanup script during the Upgrade scenario. After performing these steps, the upgraded SummitAI application will not have duplicate users. 

Pre-requisite

Perform the following steps to remove the duplicate entries:

  1. Before application upgrade, stop the execution of the AD Import

  2. Take a backup of the User_Master and SP_InsertProxy_ADUsers (SP).

    Note:

    Ensure that there is no specific customization done for your AD Import. If there are any customization, contact the SummitAI Support Team before performing the below steps.

  3. Remove duplicates by NT_UID and ObjectSID. Refer to the Duplicate User Master Records Cleanup Script below.
  4. Start application upgrade.
  5. Post the successful upgrade, enable AD Import Job and verify.

Upgrade Scenario

It is mandatory to perform the pre-requisite steps at least once during any of the SummitAI version upgrade for the scenarios mentioned in the below table.

Note: Once upgraded in any of the versions as mentioned in the table, it is no longer required to perform the pre-requisite steps again for the later version upgrades.

Duplicate User Master Records Cleanup Script

The duplicate user master records cleanup is an SQL script which is used to cleanup the duplicated user entries.

Execute the Script

  1. Click the above Download Script link to download the Script.
  2. After downloading, extract the Zip file.
  3. Open the SQL window and follow the steps provided in the Script file in appropriate Database.
