The Software License Compliance By Location Report displays a tabular report on the number of licenses, their usage, and over usage. The count of Software in stock and if they are License compliant or Non Compliant can be known by this report. Admin or Analyst can access the report based on access privileges assigned through roles. 

 Additional Information

This report provides a comprehensive view of purchased Software Licenses and the count of the licenses that are in stock, which are already in use based on the geographical location. License compliance is using software according to the Terms and Conditions of the Software License Agreement. License compliance of software in stock and purchased is available from this report. If Analysts or Admins want to check the Software license compliances this report is helpful. Decisions based on the software license compliance changes can be taken if any Non Compliant software exists in stock.

Steps to access Software License Compliance By Location Report

1.Navigate to Reports > Asset Management > Software License Compliance By Location Report.

2.Click Filters on the Action panel to specify the filter criteria for generating the report. The criteria FILTERS pop-up appears.

3. Enter or select the values for Filter fields as described in the following table.

Description 

Tenant*

Tenant is similar to department in an organization, example : Operations, IT. Select the Tenant name from the list. This is a mandatory field. For more information, see Configuring Tenants

Location

Select the Floor Location. Click to search for a specific location. For more details, view Location.

Include In-Store AssetsCurrently Available Assets.  

4. Click SUBMIT.

The Software License Compliance By Location Report is displayed.

In the list report, you can view the number of Purchase, Usage, and In Stock license details. You can also view whether the license is Compliant/Non-Compliant in the Status column. You can further expand the License Name to view the details based on location.

5.Click Purchase hyperlink  in the SOFTWARE LICENSE COMPLIANCE BY LOCATION report, this provides Software License Details. This report has details of Unit price of Software, Created Date, Software Version, Service Pack.

Few of the fields that are present in the report are explained in the following table.

Asset CodeUnique Asset code for that Asset
Store LocationCurrent Location of the Asset
License Type The type of License Mode that was purchased. Example: Trial, Perpetual.
License ModelDevice based ,User based and Processor based License models are available.
Software VersionThe version of the Software license that was purchased.
Service PackVersion of Service Pack(collection of updates and fixes for the software) that was purchased.

6. Click Usage hyperlink in the SOFTWARE LICENSE COMPLIANCE BY LOCATION report, this provides SOFTWARE METERING BY CUSTOMER report.

Click the Refresh Report to fetch latest details for the report. Any changes performed after the Reports page was loaded, will reflect if you click on Refresh Report

ACTIONS

You can perform the following actions from the ACTIONS  panel of the Software License Compliance By Location report.

Prints the displayed report records. 

 

Exports the complete list of report records to a Microsoft Excel sheet
