You can map the Software Baseline Profiles to a Customer, Location, IP Address, and System.

Note:

If the Profile is a Master Profile, it is valid for all the Systems by default. For more information, see Baselining Software.

To map a Software Baseline Profile:

  1. Click Asset > Configuration > Software > Profile Mapping. The PROFILE MAPPING page is displayed.

  2. Select the Tenant and specify the required information. Click SUBMIT to map the selected Profile. For more information about the fields on the PROFILE MAPPING page, see Field Description.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the PROFILE MAPPING page:

Field

Description

Profile

Select the Software Baseline Profile in the Profile drop-down list.
Note: The Baseline Profiles are available in the drop-down only when the Profiles are created on the Baseline Software Mapping page (see: Baselining Software).

Type

Select the required option in the Type drop-down list. Following are the available options:

Customer

If Customer is selected, the Profile is mapped to all the Assets of the Customer. On selecting Customer, the Customer field is displayed. All the available Customer names is listed in the Available Customer field.

To map a Baseline Profile to a Customer:

  1. Select the Customer name in the Available Customer field and click  to add the Customer to the Selected Customer field. Click  to add all the Customers to the Selected Customer field.
  2. Click ADD to map all the selected Customers to the selected Profile.
  3. To remove the Customer name from Selected Customer field, click . To remove all the Customers  from Selected Customer click

IP Address

If IP Address is selected, the Baseline Profile is mapped to all the Assets that have the IP Address within that range. On selecting IP Address, the IP Address Range field is displayed. See Screen Shot. Specify the IP Address in the From and To field and click ADD to map all the systems in that range to the selected Profile.

Location

If Location is selected, the Baseline Profile is mapped to all the Assets in that Location.

On selecting Location, the Location field is displayed. See Screen Shot. To select a Location, click  on the Location field and select the Location in the list. Click ADD to map the selected Profile to the Location.

System

If System is selected, the Baseline Profile is mapped to the System. On selecting System, the System Name field is displayed. See Screen Shot. Specify the Serial Number or Host name of the Asset and click ADD to map the System to the selected Profile.

Note: The Serial Number or the Host name should be available in the Asset Inventory.

System Details

Displays the Serial Number or the Host name mapped to the selected Profile.

IP Address Details

Displays the IP Address mapped to the selected Profile.

Customer Details

Displays the Customer name mapped to the selected Profile.

Location Details

Displays the Location mapped to the selected Profile.
