The Asset Depreciation by Category report displays the depreciation of Assets of a particular Category for the selected financial year to expense their assets. The net value of the Asset on the books of the organization is the Asset Account minus the accumulatedDepreciationAccount.
Admin or Analyst can access the report based on access privileges assigned through roles.
Additional Information
This report is primarily designed to display the recorded cost of a fixed asset in a systematic manner until the value of the asset becomes zero or negligible.

Steps to Access Asset Depreciation by Category Report
To view the Asset Depreciation by Category Report, perform the following steps:
Navigate to Reports > Asset Management > Asset Depreciation by Category Report.
Click FILTERS on the ACTIONS panel to specify the filter criteria for generating the report. The FILTERS pop-up appears.

Enter or select the values for Filter fields as described in the following table.
Field
Description
Tenant
Tenant is similar to department in an organization, example : Operations, IT. Select the Tenant name from the list. This is a mandatory field. For more information, see Configuring Tenants.
Category Type
Select the type of the category. This is a mandatory field.
Gaap Type
Select the type of Gaap from the list to expense their Assets.The list values areIndiaGAAPandUSGAAP. This is a mandatory field.
Type of Act
Select the type of the act. This listed values are:
Income Tax Act
Company Act
Financial Year
Select the financial year from the drop-down list for which period you want to display the report. This is a mandatory field.
Type
Select the type of the year. The listed values are:
Monthly
Quarterly
Yearly
Quarterly
Select the year of the quarter.
Click SUBMIT. The Asset Depreciation by Category Report is displayed.

Click the Refresh Report to fetch latest details for the report. Any changes performed after the Reports page was loaded, will reflect if you click on Refresh Report .
