You can search for specific Software using the combination of the Tenant, Asset Type, Status, Category, and other logical parameters on the SEARCH ASSET pop-up page.

To search for specific Software:

  1. Select AssetUser > Manage Asset > Asset Inventory > SOFTWARE.

  2. The SOFTWARE page is displayed. Click the Search Asset icon.

  3. The SEARCH ASSET pop-up page is displayed. Specify the filter criteria to search for the specific Assets, and then click SEARCH. For more information about the fields on the SEARCH ASSET pop-up page, see Field Description.

Field Description
The following table describes the fields on the SEARCH ASSET pop-up page:

Field

Description

Tenant

Select the Tenant for which you want to view the Assets

Asset Type

Select the type of Asset that you want to search.

Note: The Default value is Software.

Status

Select the Status of the Asset that you want to search. The available statuses are:

  • All
    Select this option to display all Software Assets irrespective of the status.
  • In Store
    Select this option to display the Software Assets that are in Store in the table.
  • Inactive
    Select this option to display the inactive Software Assets in the table.

Category

Select the Category of the Software Asset that you want to search.

Location

Click the Search icon to select the Location of the Software Asset that you want to search.

On the LOCATION pop-up page, the Locations are displayed in the tree view. Use the Expand icon or click the Location name to expand the Location tree and select the required level of Location. You can also search for the required Location using the Search bar.

Note: You can select only the store for the particular location (search by floor is not permitted).

Search By

Specify the search criteria and the search value to get specific results. Based on the Category selection, only the static attributes of the selected Software Asset Category are populated in the Search By drop-down list.

Note:

If the Enable Asset Search by Dynamic Attributes from All Categories check box is selected on the  TENANT page, all the dynamic attributes are populated in the Search By drop-down list. For more information about the fields on the TENANT page, see Configuring Asset Management Modules.

DETAILS 

The DETAILS table displays the list of Assets and their details that are searched on the SEARCH ASSET pop-up page.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons that are displayed on the SEARCH ASSET pop-up page.

PRINT
Click PRINT icon to print the records that are displayed in the table.

EXPORT TO EXCEL

Click EXPORT TO EXCEL icon to export the records that are displayed in the table to a Microsoft Excel Sheet.

EXPORT ALL

Click EXPORT ALL icon to export all the records to a Microsoft Excel Sheet.
