Previously, SummitAI Product Suite leverages Adobe Flash Player to provide interactive user interfaces. Adobe announced that it intends to move its Flash technology to end-of-life status and it will cease to update and distribute the Flash Player at the end of 2020.
Now, SummitAI leverages the vis.js to provide the continuous interactive user interface. The following pages of the IT Operations Management are improved using the vis.js:
- Network View
- Editing Views from Drawing Board
- Editing Network Device Details
Enhancements
The following pages have the new look and feel to provide the interactive UI using vis.js.
Network View
- Select Operations > User > Views > Network View.
- On the NETWORK VIEW page, select the Tenant to display the Views created for the selected Tenant. Select the Refresh Interval from the list to set the interval for refreshing the NETWORK VIEW page. You can search for a specific View on the Search text box. You can click the Maximize icon to maximize the view.
A list of configured Views is displayed. Click the View name that you want to view. The respective View is displayed.

Creating Views from Discovered Devices List
- Select Operations > Configuration > Networks > View > Create View.
On the CREATE VIEW page, select the Tenant, and other required details.
- Select the Network Devices you want to add to the View. Click SUBMIT.
- The CREATE VIEW page is shown with the selected devices and links. Make the necessary changes to create the new View. For more information about fields on the CREATE VIEW page, see Creating Views from Drawing Board.
- Click SUBMIT. The newly created View is saved.
Editing Views from Drawing Board
- Select Operations > Configuration > Networks > View > Edit View.
- On the EDIT VIEW page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
- On the DRAW VIEW page, select the Tenant and other required details.
Figure: DRAW VIEW Page - Click ADD DEVICE on the ACTIONS panel to add devices into the View. On the ADD DEVICE pop-up page, select the devices you want to add to the View and click SUBMIT.
On the Drawing Board area, the following options are displayed using which you can perform the following tasks as described in the table:
Option Description Check box The following check boxes are available on the Drawing Board:
- Show IP Address: Enable or disable this check box to display or hide the IP Address on the network diagram.
- Show Host Name: Enable or disable this check box to display or hide the Host Name on the network diagram.
- Show Link Name: Enable or disable this check box to display or hide the Link Name on the network diagram.

To Add Node:
- Click icon and click on the empty space of the drawing board. The Select Device Type pop-up page is displayed.
- You can select a Device Type such as Network Device, Server, or Printer from the drop-down list. For more information, see Editing Network Device Details or Adding Servers or Adding Printers.
To Add Connector:
- Click icon click on a node and drag the connector to connect with the other node. For more information, see Creating Views from Drawing Board.
You can select a device on the network diagram and click the Edit Node icon to edit the device details. You can select a specific device and click the Delete Selected icon to delete a particular device from the network diagram.
Editing Network Device Details
- Select Operations > Configuration > Networks > View > Edit View.
- Click the View Name in the List table. The DRAW VIEW page is displayed.
- On the Drawing Board, click the Modify icon, and then click the Edit Node icon.
On the Edit Node pop-up page, edit the required fields. For more information see, Editing Network Device Details.
