Feature released in SummitAI Service Management (Tahoe SP3 HF01 V1 Patch, Service Management)

Overview

Data security and privacy is one of the key frontier drivers of SummitAI. To securely create, approve, and reject a Service Request process a new option Enable Re-Authentication is introduced in Service Catalog Configuration (Admin > Form Builder > Additional Info).

The Re-Authentication configuration enables you to restrict unauthorized users to create or approve a Service Request. This configuration is applicable for
Create Service Request, Approve Service Request, or All.

Approve Service Request through Email Notification

An approver has provision to approve a Service Request through an email notification. However, if the Re-Authentication checkbox is enabled at the Service Catalog configuration, then the recommended approval process is to log in to the SummitAI application to complete the approval process.

If you are doing the approval through email notification, when the next Email Job is triggered, an email is sent to an approver. An email notification is sent to the approver indicating that the approval process is not completed, and the approver must log in to the application to complete the approval process.

Use Case:

Problem Statement

Allen is an analyst associated with ACME HealthCare Services and handles all the in-patient services. After the audit process, he noticed many of the Service Requests were created or approved without his consent and had affected the billing transaction during discharge of the patient. Financial transactions performed without approval do not adhere to financial compliance rules.

Solution

After the Re-Authentication is implemented, Allen enables the configuration for the Service Catalog under his department so that no one other than him could have access or provision to create or approve the service catalog.

Benefits:

  • Provision an analyst to restrict unauthorized creation or approve of a SR.
  • This configuration is only applicable for the Service Management (SR) module.
  • Satisfy the organization’s compliance.
