What is Key Field Mapping?
Key Field Mapping is essential for linking the Asset attributes from the Form Builder with the Asset attributes that are pre-configured in the SummitAI Application. The Key Field Mapping ensures the discovered data is populated in the appropriate fields for the Asset Category.
Example: The Serial Number of an Asset identified through Discovery will be saved in the Serial Number field created using the Form Builder if Key Field Mapping is done appropriately.
To do Key Field Mapping:
- Select Asset > Configuration > AssetMasters > Key Field Mapping. The KEY FIELD MAPPING page is displayed.

OS Language in Key Field Mapping
What’s New?
Additional Discovery of OS Language is introduced, where a placeholder is created for OS Language in the Key Field Mapping Configuration page. The custom attributes are mapped with the standard attributes to capture all the details of the OS Language in the application.
The configured details are captured on the Asset Inventory List page and also provided as a filter parameter for easy data access and visibility.
Benefits
- Aids in the discovery of different hardware attributes of the assets.
- Provides provision to analyze details on different user machines and the languages being used.
- Helps the Administrator to do changes in their policy based on the organizational requirements.
