What’s New?

In the Problem Management module under the Cost Tab, the Currency Field was hardcoded to display only two currencies USD & INR. This area needed to be taken care of by mapping the Common Master Currency to the field. As per the requirement, Dirham or AED needed to be present in the Currency dropdown present in the Cost tab of Problem Record. Hence this feature is being added where the user can Configure and map different types of currencies from the Common Master Configurations.

To Know more about Creating a Problem Record and Cost Details see, Creating Problem Records.

How is SummitAI implementing it?

This is being achieved in SummitAI by adding AED/Dirham or any other values as a currency in Common Master Currency Configurations and the same will be visible in the dropdown once the common master currency is mapped to the Currency field.

In addition, the users will be able to:

  • Configure any different type of currency from the Common Master Configurations.
  • View all the currencies configured in the Common Master Currency configurations under the Cost Tab Currency field.
  • View a warning message on top of the screen as a toast message format when an already selected Currency is changed to another value.
  • An Information icon will be seen in the Currency field which informs the analyst how and where a new currency can be added.
  • For all existing problem records, the mapping of Common Master Currency configuration is extended to the Currency field in the Cost tab.
  • View all the changes made with respect to the new Currency field captured in the Change History.

    • Once the currency is mapped, then for all the new Problem records the Currency field will display the values of the Common Master Currency configurations in the dropdown.

    • If any values are added or deleted from the Common Master Currency configurations the same will be reflected in the Cost Tab too.

    • There will not be any default value for the Currency field.

    • The selection of Currency will be made mandatory only if the Estimated or Actual Cost is added.

    • Once the Actual or Estimated Cost is added and if the submit button is clicked without selecting the currency, then the system will not allow the record to be submitted until a currency is selected.

  3. While selecting a Currency value from the drop down, this will trigger a warning as shown below:
