You can configure notifications to be sent to the Analysts if a Job is hung. If the difference between the Last Run Date and Next Run Time is greater than the configured frequency for a configured Job, the application detects that the Job is hung. The configured Job should also be enabled on the CUSTOM SCHEDULER page. For information about Custom Scheduler, see SummitAI General Online Help.

To configure Job Hung Notifications:

  1. Select  Operations > Configuration > General > Job Hung Notification.
  2. On the JOB HUNG NOTIFICATION page, click the Filters icon and select the Tenant. Click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
  3. Fill in the required details. For more information about the fields on the JOB HUNG NOTIFICATION page, see Field Description.
  4. Click SUBMIT. The Job Hung Notification details are saved.

    The following table describes the fields on the JOB HUNG NOTIFICATION page:

    DETAILS

    Action Template

    Lists all the configured Action Templates for the selected Tenant. Select an Action Template from the list. For information about Action Templates, see Configuring Action Templates.

    Incident Template

    Lists all the configured Incident Templates for the selected Tenant. Select an Incident Template from the list. For information about Incident Templates, see Configuring Incident Templates.

    Monitoring Source

    Lists the configured monitoring sources.

    • Summit Server: It refers to the machine, where SUMMIT Suite is installed using the Summit Installer. It is also referred to as Summit Centralized Server. Select this option to configure the Job Hung Notification from this centralized Server.
    • Proxy Server: It refers to the machine configured at a client location for sending monitored data of the client machines to the Summit Server. Select this option to configure the Job Hung Notification from the Proxy Server.

    Notification Email ID

    Type in one or more comma separated e-mail addresses of the recipient to send the Job Hung Notifications.

    Active

    Indicates the status of the Job Hung Notification configuration:

    • If selected, the Job Hung Notification configuration is active.
    • If not selected, the Job Hung Notification configuration is inactive.

ACTIONS

The following table describes the fields on the JOB HUNG NOTIFICATION page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the Job Hung Notifications for the selected Tenant.

To modify a Job Hung Notification, click the configured Proxy Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.

Note:

When the Job Hung Notifications are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Job Hung Notification.
