The License Compliance by Core/Processor allows access to software which is installed on core or processor for products licensed through per core or per processor model. This report displays the number of procured software licenses, valid software licenses, and the count of core-based allocated and unallocated software installations. It also displays the total number of software licenses that are used and the number of software licenses that are in stock. You can further drill-down the report to view the software installation details and the customer-wise software installation counts. Admin or Analyst can access the report based on access privileges assigned through roles. 

 Additional Information

It is easy for Admin or Analyst to understand out of the procured licenses which are being optimally used. They can deduce useful data from this report like which License of Core is valid but is still unallocated. If Licenses are procured and valid but are still unallocated, then licenses can be reassigned to different teams. This will help save costs and plan budgets. and help utilize the valid licenses appropriately.

Steps to Access Report

  1. Navigate to Reports Asset Management License Compliance by Core.
  2. Click Filters on the Action panel to specify the filter criteria for generating the report. The criteria FILTERS pop-up appears. 

       

     3. Enter or select the values for Filter fields as described in the following table.  

Field 

Description 

Tenant 

Tenant is similar to department in an organization, example : Operations, IT. Select the Tenant name from the list. This is a mandatory field. For more information, see Configuring Tenants

Location 

Select the Floor Location. Click to search for a specific location. 

Publisher 

The name of the software publisher, responsible for its development and distribution. Example: Microsoft, Cisco.

Include In-Store Assets 

Currently Available Assets.  

Show Internal Compliance 

Standards set by the internal management of a company. 

Show Publisher Compliance 

Standards set forth by external legal or regulatory authorities. 

   4.  Click SUBMIT.

    The License Compliance by Core Report is displayed

ACTIONS

You can perform the following actions from the ACTIONS panel of the Assets by Floor report page. 

Icons 

Action 

 

Prints the displayed report records. 

 

Exports the displayed records on the page to a Microsoft Excel sheet. 

 

Exports the complete list of report records to a Microsoft Excel sheet
