You can view the detailed Hardware Variance for an Asset. Each Asset attribute has a baseline. If there is a variance to the specified baseline, the Asset is highlighted with color flags. For more information, see Hardware Variance.

To view Hardware Variance:

  1. Select Asset > User > Manage Asset > Variance > Hardware Variance.

  2. On the HARDWARE VARIANCE page, a FILTERS pop-up page is displayed.

  3. On the FILTERS pop-up page, select the Tenant, Category, and specify a Search By option (Asset ID, Serial Number, Host Name) and other details. Click SUBMIT.

  4. A table listing details of Assets matching the filter criteria is displayed. For more information about the fields in the table, see 122323004.

    Note:

    You can view the Assets only for the location for which you have access. You will have access for locations as per the Role Template assigned to you.


Field Description

The following table describes the fields of the HARDWARE VARIANCE page.

Field

Description

Asset ID

Displays the Asset ID.

Serial Number

Displays the serial number of the Asset. Click the serial number of the Asset to view the Asset variance details.

To update the hardware variance, select the check box and click SUBMIT. 

Host Name

Displays the host name.

RAM Size

Displays the amount of RAM in the Asset.

RAM Qty

Displays the quantity of RAM in the Asset.

HD Size

Displays the HD size of Asset.

HD Qty

Displays the quantity of HD in the Asset.

Changed Date

Displays date and time details when the hardware is changed.

Note

The RAM capacity unit on the HARDWARE VARIANCE page is displayed based on the configuration done on the APPLICATION SETTINGS page. The user can use either MB or GB as a RAM capacity unit. If there is no unit is specified for the RAM capacity, the Application considers GB as the default unit.

Similarly, the user must specify the capacity unit as GB while specifying the HDD capacity on the FORM BUILDER page. If the HDD capacity unit is not specified with GB, an incorrect value is displayed on the HARDWARE VARIANCE page.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the fields on the on the ACTIONS panel of the HARDWARE VARIANCE page.

PRINT TABLE

Click PRINT TABLE to print the LIST table.

EXPORT TO EXCEL

Click EXPORT TO EXCEL to export the records displayed on this page to a Microsoft Excel sheet.

EXPORT ALL

Click EXPORT ALL to export all the records to a Microsoft Excel sheet.
