An administrator can configure an advanced BI dashboard to display the Module-Based or Tab-wise BI reports. The configured dashboard can be accessed from the Dashboard menu of the End User Dashboard page. 

Prerequisites

To configure new dashboards, the user must have access to the Advanced BI Dashboard Configuration List sub-menu. 

Enabling Advanced BI Dashboard Configuration Submenus

To enable Advanced BI Dashboard Configuration List sub-menu:

  1. Select AdminBasic > Users > Role Template
    The ROLE TEMPLATE page is displayed.
  2. Click Filters on the ACTIONS panel.
    The FILTERS pop-up page is displayed.
  3. Select the Domain from the drop-down list and click SUBMIT.
    A list of configured Role Templates for the selected Domain is displayed.
  4. Select the required ROLE TEMPLATE from the LIST. The ROLE TEMPLATE - MENU CONFIGURATION page is displayed. 
  5. Click ADMIN from under the MODULES section.
  6. Select the Edit and View check box for Advanced BI Dashboard Configuration List to provide the edit and view access.
  7. Click SUBMIT to save the configuration.

To configure a Dashboard:

  1. Select Admin > Basic > Infrastructure > Advanced BI Dashboard Configuration List. The ADVANCED BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION LIST page is displayed.
  2. Click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel. The ADVANCED BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION page is displayed. 
  3. Specify Dashboard Name and select Active check box to make this dashboard active.
  4. Specify Tab Name, Tab Order Number, and select Active check box to make this tab active.
  5. Click ADD NEW TAB
  6. Under the newly added tab, select required Report Format, Module Name, Report Name and click ADD. For more information about the fields on the ADVANCED BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION page see, Field Description.
  7. Click SUBMIT. A new Dashboard is added.

Note:

To edit an existing dashboard, click the required dashboard name on the ADVANCED BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION LIST page. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the ADVANCED BI DASHBOARD CONFIGURATION page:

Description

Dashboard Name

Enter the name of the dashboard. This is a mandatory field.

ActiveIf selected, the dashboard name will be displayed under the Dashboard menu of the End User Dashboard page.
Tab Configuration
Tab NameSpecify the tab name. This is a mandatory field.
Tab OrderSpecify the tab order. The display order of the tab is depends on the tab order. This is a mandatory field.
Active

If selected, the corresponding tab will be displayed in the dashboard or else the tab becomes inactive.

ADD TABClick ADD TAB to add the tab. You can add multiple tabs.
UPDATEThis button is displayed when you click the existing tab. Click to update to update the configuration for the existing tab.
Report Format

Select the format of the report. The options are:

  • Dashboard
  • Report 
Module NameSelect the module name. Data in the further fields are populated based on the selected module.
Report NameThe dashboards are displayed based on the selected module. Select a dashboard that you want to map to the tab.
ADDClick ADD to add the configured settings.
DeleteClick Delete to delete the mapped report.


Viewing Configured Dashboard

Prerequisite:

  • Ensure that you have access to the End User Dashboard (Theme Configured). 
  • To view the configured dashboards, the user must have access to these reports. 

To provide access, perform the following steps:

  1. Select AdminBasic > Users > Role Template. The ROLE TEMPLATE page is displayed.
  2. Click Filters on the ACTIONS panel. The FILTERS pop-up page is displayed.
  3. Select the Domain from the drop-down list and click SUBMIT. A list of configured Role Templates for the selected Domain is displayed.
  4. Select the required ROLE TEMPLATE from the LIST. The ROLE TEMPLATE - MENU CONFIGURATION page is displayed. 
  5. Click DASHBOARD from under the MODULES section.
  6. Select the View check box corresponding to the dashboard's name as shown below to provide view access.
  7. Click SUBMIT to save the configuration.

To view the configured dashboards:

  1. On the End User Dashboard page, click the Dashboard menu.
  2. A list of configured dashboards is displayed.
