What is User Impact?

User Impact refers to the list of Users, who are getting affected due to implementation of a Release Record (RR) or whose configuration attributes getting modified due to the implementation of a RR. You can configure User Impact details for a Release Record (RR). You can add a User Impact for a Release Record (RR) under a Tenant.

To configure User Impact values:

  1. Select Release > Configuration > Priority Matrix.
  2. On the USER IMPACT page, click the ADD NEW icon on the ACTIONS panel.
  3. Select the Tenant and type in the new User Impact details. For information about the fields on the USER IMPACT page, see Field Description.
  4. Click SUBMIT. A new User Impact is configured.

Field Description

The following table describes the fields on the USER IMPACT page:

Field

Description

User Impact Name

Type in a name for the User Impact.

Sort Order

Type in a numeric value, which indicates the sequence number in which the User Impact will be displayed in the User Impact list on the configuration pages of the application.

Active

Indicates the status of the User Impact.

  • If selected, the  User Impact becomes an available option on the other pages of the application.
  • If not selected, the  User Impact becomes an inactive value. The inactive  User Impact values are not displayed in the User Impact list on the other pages of the application.

ACTIONS

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the USER IMPACT page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the User Impacts configured for the selected Tenant.

  • To edit a User Impact value, click the User Impact Name . Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
  • To display the inactive user impact values, click the Include Inactive check box.

Note:

When the User Impact values are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new User Impact value.
