What is a Reason?

You can define the Reason for creating a Knowledge Record (KR). The Analysts KM need to specify a Reason while creating a KR.

To configure Reasons:

  1. Select  Knowledge > Configuration > Reason.
  2. On the REASON page, select the Tenant and type in the Reason for creating a KR in the Reason text box. Select the Active check box to make the Reason active.
  3. Click SUBMIT. A new Reason is configured.

ACTIONS

The following section describes the icons on the ACTIONS panel of the REASON page.

SHOW LIST

Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the configured Reasons for the selected Tenant.

Reason ID column in the LIST table displays the ID associated with every configuration.

  • To edit a Reason, click the Reason. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
  • To display the inactive Reasons, click the Include Inactive check box.

Note:

When the configured Reasons are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Reason.
