Asset Movement
You can configure movement type for an asset such as Return movement type or Default movement type for tracking the movement of asset. The default movement type includes Store Movement, Floor Movement, From Repair, and To Repair. The return movement type process includes the various reasons for returning the assets.
When any of these movements are initiated, a workflow can be triggered to obtain as many as 10 levels of approvals.
Configurations
- Movement Configuration needs to be set up for all the Asset Movement types and specific Asset Movements as described in the following section.
- Location-wise Approvers need to be mapped (see: Configuring Location-wise Approvers).
- Approvals can be enabled or disabled for each Asset Category through the Approval Configuration setting (see: Approval Configuration).
To configure Asset movement approval matrix:
- Select Asset > Configuration > Others > Movement Configuration.
- On the MOVEMENT CONFIGURATION page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
- Select the Tenant and Movement Type. Based on the movement type selection (Return Type or Default Type), a workflow is triggered to complete the configuration.

If movement type is selected as Return Type Movement, the following fields are displayed as shown in the figure below:

Field Description for Return Type Movement
The following table describes the fields on the Return MOVEMENT CONFIGURATION page:
Field | Description |
Movement Type | Select Movement type as Return Type Movement. |
Type | Select the type from the drop-down list. The values populated in this field are based on the configurations done on Asset Return Type page. (See Asset Return Type). |
Number of Approvals | Select the number of approvals from the list. Based on the number of approvals selected, the Level fields appear to select an Approver for the level. |
Level | Displays level(s) based on the value in Number of Approvals selection. |
Approver Type | Select the Approver for each level from the list. |
Asset condition check Required | Select this check box to validate Asset condition for Asset movement. |
Select Store location – Update | If selected, the approver at respective level can update the return store location for the asset. |
Enable Print Gate Pass | If the check box is selected, the Print Gate Pass option is displayed on the Movement Approval page. |
Enable Default store | If the check box is selected, the default store will be populated in the Asset Drop location on the Asset Return List pop-up page for the end user while initiating the return movement for asset. |
Active | Indicates the status set for an Asset movement configuration.

The following table describes the fields on the Default MOVEMENT CONFIGURATION page:

ACTIONS
This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the MOVEMENT CONFIGURATION page. By default MOVEMENT CONFIGURATION page displays the list of Asset Movements already configured for the selected tenant. Refer the figure below.

Click ADD NEW to configure new Asset Movement for the selected Tenant.
- Click SHOW LIST.

This displays the LIST table showing all the configured Asset Movements for the selected Tenant.

- To update an Asset Movement, click the required Movement Type. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
To display the inactive Asset Movement, click the Include Inactive check box.
When the Asset Movement is displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure the Asset Movement.
Click to configure Location-wise Approvers. For more information about Location-wise Approvers, see Configuring Location-wise Approvers.
Click to configure Category-wise Approvals.

- Select the Asset Movement Types (Floor, Store, From Repair, To Repair) under Enable Approval column for each asset category listed as per the requirement.
- Click SUBMIT.
Click to configure the default store. For more information on setting up a store as default, see Location And Store Configuration.
Custom Scheduler Jobs
The following Custom Scheduler Job should be enabled for Asset Movement configurations to function correctly:
Movement Returnable Asset: Asset movement with returnable type asset alerts. This job should be configured on
the SummitAI Application Server. It is recommended to schedule this job to run once every day.
