Configuring Asset Purpose

You can add and modify the Asset Purpose Types, such as official, temporary, client billable, corporate infra, and so on for an Asset.
To configure Asset Purpose:
Select Asset > Configuration > Asset Masters > Asset Purpose.
On the ASSET PURPOSE page, click ADD NEW on the ACTIONS panel.
Select the Tenant at the left pane and type in the purpose in the Purpose Type text box. If you select the Active check box, the Asset Purpose Type value becomes an available option in the Purpose Type list on the other pages of the application.
Click SUBMIT. A new Purpose Type is configured.

ACTIONS
This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the ASSET PURPOSE page.
SHOW LIST
Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the Purposes configured for the selected Tenant.

- To edit a Purpose, click the name of the Purpose. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
- To display the inactive Purposes, click the Include Inactive check box.
Note:
When the Purposes are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Purpose.
