Global Search to support Task

Global Search

The Global Search icon is available on the top panel of the Application where the users can search for a specific text in the users (User), menu items (Menu), and modules, such as Incident, Request, Asset, Change, ProblemCMDB, Network, Server, Knowledge, Workorder, and Task.

This enhancement is about Task in the Global Search.

Search Task

As part of the global search, Task is one of the search elements. Which is searched based on the Key Words.

  1. Log in to Application as an Analyst.

  2. Click Search icon on the Dashboard.
    Module search selection is displayed. By default, Incident and Request are selected.

  3. Select Task and enter the Task keyword in the Search.
    Search is displayed based on the matching Keyword entered in the search box.

If the searched Keyword is present in the below Task list, then it is displayed under the Task Accordion.

Column NameDescription
Task IDSpecify a Task ID.
CR IDSpecify associated CR ID.
Logged TimeDisplay Task logged time.
Logged ByMentions the name of the user by whom the Task was logged.
StatusDisplay the Status of Task, such as New, In Progress, Pending, etc.
Assigned AnalystMentions the Analyst name to whom the Task is assigned to.
DescriptionProvides the detail about the Task.
