Importing and Allocating Assets in Bulk

You can import the Assets from excel sheet and allocate them to the users in bulk.
To import and allocate Assets in bulk:
Select Asset > User > Manage Asset > Import > Bulk Asset Allocation.
On the BULK ASSET ALLOCATION page, under the General tab, select the required options and upload the template for bulk upload and allocation.
Note
Analysts should add Request ID with a prefix (SR/IM/WO) in the excel sheet for the Bulk Allocation of Fixed and Non- Fixed Assets.
Click Submit. A table listing uploaded Asset Bulk Allocation Template sheet is displayed. Select the sheet to import the Assets. For information about the fields under the General tab, see Field Description.

A table listing mapped data from the template in the Source field and the attributes in the Destination field are displayed. Select the required options if not already selected. For information about the fields under the Mapping tab, see Field Description. Click NEXT.

If the Request Type is configured on the ASSET APPLICATION SETTINGS page, the Analyst must select a valid value in the Source field for the Request ID attribute under the MAPPING tab.
A table listing all the mapped values is displayed under Preview tab. For information about the fields under the Preview tab, see Field Description.

Field Description
The following table describes the fields on the BULK ASSET ALLOCATION page:

General Tab | |
Tenant | Select the Tenant to which you want to add the Assets. |
Category | Select the Asset Category from the list. |
Type | Select the Type of Asset from the list. Fixed Asset or Non Fixed Asset. |
Source | Click the Upload icon to upload the Asset Bulk Allocation Template sheet. Click Submit. A table listing uploaded sheet is displayed. Select the sheet to upload Assets. |
Allocation Type |

Notify Users | If selected, the users specified in the import excel sheet are notified upon the allocation of Assets. |
Generate Gate Pass | If selected, Gate Pass will be generated, based on the information provided in the bulk allocation file. |
Mapping Tab | This tab displays the list of fields with its mapping result. If the Destination and Source are same, it indicates that the field is mapped. If the field is not mapped correctly, you will see <ignore> value in the Source field. Select the appropriate value in the Source field. |
Preview Tab | Displays all the mapped values. The fields which are mandatory and need data are highlighted in yellow color. The mismatch data type is displayed in pink color. The fields displayed on this table depends on the fields mapped under the Mapping tab. |

This section explains all the icons displayed on the ACTIONS panel of the BULK ASSET ALLOCATION page.
DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE
Click DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE to download the Asset Bulk Allocation Template.
PREVIOUS ALLOCATION DETAILS
Click PREVIOUS ALLOCATION DETAILS to view the previous Asset allocation details.
UPLOAD ASSETS
Click UPLOAD ASSETS to upload the Assets to the selected location.
