Overview
SummitAI has extended its discovery agent utility program support to Bash shell on the new Linux Discovery Agent version 1.5.
About Bash Shell
Bash is an acronym for ‘Bourne-Again SHell’ that is the default shell on many Linux distributions today. Brian Fox introduced the Bash shell in 1989. Benefits
Following are the key benefits of Bash shell:
- Enables command-line editing
- Better Job Control
- Unlimited size command history
- Shell Functions and Aliases
- Unlimited size Indexed arrays
- Integer arithmetic in any base from two to sixty-four
- Scripts are easily readable in BASH in comparison to Korn Shell
Improvements
Security Considerations
Note:
Additional security controls are incorporated to Forgot Password functionality in Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
Limitation
All old configuration of the Auto Problem Record creation will be deleted when you upgrade from pre-Denali SP1 to Denali SP1 or a later release. Hence, the Administrator needs to do configurations based on CONDITION and TARGET fields again.
For more information, see Configuring Auto Create Problem Records.
