Configuring Service Category

You can configure a Service Category for a Tenant.
To configure Service Category:
- Select Catalog > Configuration > Service Category.
- On the SERVICE CATEGORY page, click the ADD NEW icon on the ACTIONS panel.
- Select the Tenant and type in the new Service Category details. For information about the fields on the SERVICE CATEGORY page, see Configuring Service Category.
- Click SUBMIT. A new Service Category is configured.

Field Description
The following table describes the fields on the SERVICE CATEGORY page:
Field | Description |

DETAILS | |
Parent Category | Lists all the Category names, which are not mapped to any other Categories as a Child Category. Select a Category from the list to define it as a Parent Category. |
Category Name | Type in a name for the Category. |
Sort Order | Type in a numeric value, which indicates the sequence number in which the Impact will be displayed in the Service Category list on the other pages of the application. |
Global Category | Select the check box if you want the selected Service Category to be available to all the configured Tenants. Note: If you have selected Parent Category for the new Service Category that you are adding, ensure that the Parent Category is also a Global Category. |
Enable Manual Service Request Closure | If selected, the Analyst needs to manually close the SR irrespective of the Tenant level (see: SummitAI Platform Help) and Workgroup level (see: SummitAI Platform Help) configuration. The Category level configuration takes precedence. |
Description | Type in a brief description about the Service Category. |
Category Image | Click the Upload icon to select an image for the Service Category |
Tile Color | Select a color for the Tile. |
Active | Indicates the status of the Impact value.

ACTIONS
This section explains all the icons on the ACTIONS panel of the SERVICE CATEGORY page.
SHOW LIST
Click SHOW LIST to display the LIST table showing all the Service Categories configured for the selected Tenant.

Category ID column in the LIST table displays the ID associated with every configuration.
- To edit details of a Service Category, click the Category Name. Make appropriate changes and click SUBMIT.
- To display the inactive Service Categories, click the Include Inactive check box.
Note:
When the Service Categories are displayed under the LIST table, the ADD NEW action is displayed on the ACTIONS panel. Click ADD NEW to configure a new Service Category.
